1995 Nissan Skyline GTS
Nissan's R33 Skyline is a safe, balanced, reliable, and iconic sportscar. This 1995 is finished in a Super Black (KH3) and offered with a mere 89K verified and documented miles. Accented by a set of 16" seven-spoke aftermarket alloys, the curvaceous body is in good nick aside from a few minor dings, chips, and scuffs associated with normal use. She drives really well, and we did want to note prior repairs in Japan including a new OEM replacement trunk and rear bumper. This 9th generation coupe has been recently serviced and legally imported, so it's ready to hit some fresh American tarmac. This turn-key Japanese Classic series 1.5 Skyline delivers comfort, sportiness, and fun at an affordable market price.
The interior gives you more leg and headroom than its predecessor, the R32. Power amenities surround the driver, many of which were standard equipment. The driver benefits from an SRS airbag and the dash is in good shape, lacking any cracking or distortion. Although the tachometer is inoperable, the other gauges are accurate and easy to read at a quick glance. The seats are trimmed in a two-tone gray cloth with no signs of rips or tears in the fabric. The door cards are intact, as is the headliner, and they have avoided major wear over the years. The carpet has held up to the test of time, as well. Aside from the power-folding function on the electric mirrors not working, the rest of the power equipment works like a charm. These amenities include power windows and locks and a handy adjustable steering column accommodates pilots of all sizes. The radio has been removed, leaving you an open option to pick your preferred headunit of choice. The automatic digital climate control blows cold A/C and heat to your preference. Other than the Trust shift knob, the interior remains true to its original design and has certainly been cared for in a prior life.
Under the bonnet of this R33 rests the RB20E I-6 engine. At 2.0L it isn't going to win you any drag races, but it delivers enough power for daily use and is efficient and convenient to source parts for. Connected to a 5-speed manual transmission this GTS is no slouch and it's up to highway speeds without breaking a sweat. The RB fires up promptly thanks to a new 12v battery and is fresh off an oil and filter service. It idles nearly vibration-free, and a K&N intake adds a few ponies and sounds killer under throttle. It pairs well with the HKS Dragger polished stainless catback, which emits a throatier bark out the back. Best of all, a new timing belt and water pump service were taken care of while we had the R33 up on our lift. It will save a bunch of money and heartbreak down the road and we also performed a brake fluid flush, too! The balanced platform of the Skyline brakes confidently and handles flat when running through the twisties. The OEM suspension is responsive and predictable despite its age. One of our trained technicians has mounted and balanced four brand new tires at all four corners. They quiet down the ride noticeably and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come.
