This EK3 is an endearing little hatchback. It's a fine example of Honda's top-notch ergonomics, reliable mechanicals, and commitment to efficiency. This 1996 is finished in a beautiful Adriatic Blue Pearl (B-74P) and accessorized with a subtle set of OEM rain guards. The body is in good shape aside from some light dings and chips and boasts a mere 36k verified miles and documented miles. The cabin is in far above-average shape, too, and boy does this Civic drive nicely. Recently serviced and legally imported, this timeless hatch would make for a unique daily driver or weekend cruiser. Fun, well cared for, and affordable, this delightful hatch is a Japanese Classic through and through.

This little Civic has such a nice interior. It's spacious for the diminutive exterior size and has all the equipment you need. The dash is in good nick and lacks any cracking or fading. Unlike older Civics, ours even has dual front SRS airbags for some added peace of mind. The OEM radio works like a charm as does the factory automatic climate control system. The seats are supportive and in above-average shape. They feature textured blue upholstery and lack any major rips, stains, or tears. The rear seats fold forward to accommodate more cargo and the OEM folding security shade is still present out back. The headliner and door cards look good too, as do the carpets. Power windows, locks, and electric folding mirrors work flawlessly and make daily driving enjoyable. The best feature has the be the electric factory parking pole. With the press of a button, it unfurls from the front bumper and allows the driver to see the leading edge of the car for tight parking situations.

Honda had seemingly perfected the four-cylinder in the 1980s, and during the 90's they just kept belting out the hits. The D series motors were known for bulletproof reliability and low cost of ownership. This D15B is fresh off an oil and filter service and starts up promptly thanks to a newly installed 12v battery. The four-cylinder idles with confidence and is mated to a CVT transmission that features economy and sport modes. It operates just like an automatic and works to maximize fuel economy. The front wheels do the driving and steering and this EK offers plenty of traction in the rain and snow. Thanks to the 2500 pound curb weight it feels spritely upon acceleration and is great for around town. Sustained jaunts on the highway are comfortable and the platform is composed overall. The suspension can handle the rigors of daily use and abuse and the Civic feels light on its feet. The brakes are confident and the power steering is light and on point. The wheels are all wrapped in new tires at all our corners. The all-season rubber keeps the ride quiet and will deliver tens of thousands of miles of year-round grip as this little Honda starts its next chapter!
