This Midori Green EK3 is an example sure to catch the attention of any discerning stateside Honda enthusiast. Sporting the brand's steadfast D15B powerplant mated to a responsive "Multimatic" gearbox, this is the perfect daily driver for any prospective purchasers looking to add a little JDM flair to their commute. This 1996 is more of a looker than anything, sporting an OEM rear spoiler, mid wing, rainguards, and side skirts. Lowered on adjustable coilovers. This timeless aesthetic is completed by a set of rare, pricey, and sought-after Mugen MR-5 wheels. Our little hatch has all the goodies to stand out from the pack, and look good doing it! Better yet, the fresh coat of Midori (GY16P) paint shows incredibly well, save for some expected light chips and dings on the exterior. We also wanted to note a prior replacement of the hood and right front fender in Japan. Boasting a respectable 65k verified and documented miles, this one is just stretching its legs, and should be primed and ready for reliable fun-filled miles to come on our US shores. Dependable, easy to service, and undeniably attractive, this EK3 is a Japanese Classic like no other.

For a 25-year-old vehicle, we must commend this car's prior Japanese owner for keeping things so neat and tidy inside. The factory-patterned cloth upholstery is plush and free of any unwanted rips, although the driver's bolster has lost some rigidity over the years. Aside from some light staining on the driver's bucket, there's not much to be concerned about. The dash layout is simple, and the materials are in equally good nick! The black plastic dash trim shows no cracking and contains a fully functional automatic climate control unit. With freshly charged A/C and piping hot heat on standby, it's easy to adjust this cabin's climate to your personal preference. The driver even benefits from a tilt-adjustable steering column and SRS airbag to further dial in a comfortable driving experience. A passenger SRS airbag comes standard, too! The factory audio is functional, although the volume knob no longer adjusts. Fortunately, the speakers play at a listenable volume should you choose to load in your favorite cassette. A spread of power amenities are present to add some modern flair to this classic cabin. Power windows, power locks, and power-folding mirrors all function at the push of a button and make daily use more enjoyable. For a compact three-door, the interior is surprisingly spacious and this EK comfortably seats 5 with no issues! The headliner is in good nick, and the carpet down below isn't too worse for the wear. Overall, it's hard to complain about the interior, and if you can see past some wear on the rear trim panels, this one should be more than worthy of a spot in your driveway. We've even retained the factory spare, tool kit, and OEM owner's manuals to preserve the life of this cherry classic!

The humble D15B under the bonnet is a frugal powerplant choice and a great option if you prioritize fuel economy, parts availability, and ease of service! Ours is fresh off a recent service from our trained technicians, and with an abundance of parts stateside, we were able to sufficiently shore this one up for the road ahead. A new 12v battery was installed to ensure proper operation of the alternator, and to guarantee this one cranks over every time. Fresh off an oil and filter service, this 1.5l is fully sealed up against any unwanted lubricant leaks, as we've replaced the distributor o-ring and cam cap plug as well. Paired with Honda's groundbreaking Multimatic transmission, power is delivered smoothly through the CVT gearbox and this four-banger has no issues getting up to and maintaining highway speeds throughout all three drive modes. The aftermarket coilovers deliver a significantly stiffer ride while also being more responsive. and we've replaced the trailing arm bushings and a front right axle to fortify the drivetrain for the road ahead. The power steering is light and responsive, and the ABS brakes chomp down hard if an abrupt stop is required. Better yet, we've wrapped the Mugens in fresh all-season rubber, sure to keep road noise down and provide tens of thousands of miles of reliable grip for the future.
