The old adage goes that Honda Accords run forever. Hyperbolic as it might be, most enthusiasts understand how bulletproof the brand's vehicles were at that time. A prime example of this is our 1996 U.S. Wagon we are offering for sale. Boasting a mere 42k verified miles, this recently serviced Accord is full of power and safety features that make ownership practical and enjoyable. Accessorized by a set of very rare optional OEM foglights, privacy tint, optional OEM sunroof, and optional OEM rain guards, the body is in good shape with minor dings, chips, and scratches associated with normal use. Finished in an understated and rare (4879) Sherwood Green Pearl, this legally imported estate would make a reliable daily driver or fun weekend cruiser. Either way, this gem is a real Japanese Classic!

The interior is impressive in its condition. The quality materials have held up impressively over the years, and we can tell this car was cared for in Japan. Unlike many cars of this era, the Accord has standard dual front SRS airbags and cruise control. We take for granted things like cupholders, and it has those as well. The dash is in good shape and lacks any major imperfections. The only upgrade to be found in the cabin is a USB equipped Pioneer head unit. It works great and the audio quality isn't half bad for likely original speakers. The textured gray hues of the interior combine well with the exterior hue and items like the headliner, door cards and carpets are in good nick and lack any major blemished. The seating material is still soft to the touch and comfortable on long drives. The front buckets lack any major rips stains or tears. The same can be said for the backbench, which 60/40 folds flat in case your transporting larger cargo. Even the OEM privacy shad is still present and can be used to shield prying eyes from the cargo in the boot. The digital climate system is intact and operates properly, and the privacy tint works to keep temps down in the summertime. Power equipment includes an electric sunroof, power-folding mirrors, electric locks, and windows. All these items work as they should making daily use a snap.

Mechanically this Accord wagon is powered by an F22B 2.2L four-cylinder. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the little engine turns over promptly with the twist of the key. It idles smooth, gets up to operating temp quickly, and delivers impressive fuel economy. Our trained technicians have taken care of a number of maintenance and repair items so the next owner can immediately start enjoying this one. A set of fresh spark plugs and a new distributor, rotor and cap have been taken care of and a new valve cover gasket has replaced the old leaking one. Acceleration isn't half bad and the automatic is geared for US interstate speeds. The gearbox shifts properly and powers the front wheels. These five seat wagons actually do pretty well in the snow and we recommend them for year-round use. The suspension is compliant and handles our stateside with confidence. The six-spoke alloys have good rubber on them and the ride is quiet and enjoyable.
