The Granvia is just as capable as many of our 4WD diesel trucks, but those body-on-frame pickups can't touch this model's practicality and refinement. This 1996 features an option-packed and spacious cabin, and a host of safety upgrades over its sibling, the HiAce. Finished in a lovely Alphard White (042) over Gravity Black two-tone, this hauler is set off by a set of refinished 15" aftermarket alloys, a subtle rear spoiler, rare factory parking pole, and OEM rainguards. Aside from a few light scuffs, dings, and chips, this Toyota is no worse for the wear and is fresh off a recent service, too. Boasting only 110k verified and documented miles, this turbodiesel rig is barely broken in. With room for eight, this KCH16 would make for a killer family hauler, a unique weekend camping vehicle, or a daily driven transporter for your commute to work. Useful, efficient, and affordable Japanese Classics like this one provide a whole lot of value, and could suit a range of owner requirements without a doubt!

The cabin is spacious, filled with quality materials, and includes loads of space. The dashboard lacks any cracking or fading and houses dual front airbags for some added peace of mind. Front occupants also enjoy a sunroof for some additional light and ventilation, and the automatic digital dual-zone climate controls are close by and easy to reach. Rear occupants have their own dedicated climate controls, as well, and cold A/C and piping hot heat can be mixed through the cabin when necessary. A massive power panoramic middle sunroof can be retracted to view the heavens above, and the seats below can be converted to a sleeping surface. The middle row also swivels 180 degrees to face rearward.  A simple-to-use OEM audio system supplements the turbodiesel soundtrack and makes logging heavy miles a lot more bearable. The controls are all at hand and close by, and the driver also benefits from a tilt-adjustable steering column to find the ideal driving position. Power folding mirrors, electric door locks, and power windows all function making daily use even more enjoyable. The carpets, headliner, and door cards are all in good nick, and aside from a tachometer that doesn't function properly, it's hard to complain about this hauler and as an automatic transmission-equipped vehicle, the tach issue will not affect its operation. On the positive side, the owner's manuals are included in the sale. Spacious, packed with quality materials, and comfortable, the cabin receives top scores.

Under the skin, this Granvia shares many components with its HiAce brethren, so parts sourcing is as easy as it gets. Built for the more stringent safety standards in Europe, this transporter features a semi-bonneted design with a larger crash structure, standard dual airbags, and ABS. The wheelbase stretch also pays dividends when cruising at interstate speeds. This allows for a more stable high-speed ride, and it feels as predictable as any van we currently offer. Another high point of this van's design is the nearly bulletproof 1KZ-TE under the hood. The 3.0L is fresh off an oil and filter service and starts up with the twist of the key, care of a new 12v battery. We also replaced the fuel filter to ensure that the power and economy are as good as possible. The four-banger is linked to a stout automatic transmission that makes great use of the 1Ks broad torque curve. Power is fed to the ground through a Full-Time 4WD system. The surefooted Granvia sails up to highway speeds with ease, and is more than peppy around town, from stoplight to stoplight. The steering is light yet direct and new right front inner and outer tie rods were replaced prior to its state inspection. The wheels are wrapped in new Falkens at all four corners and they reduce the road noise by a great deal. They also will last for years to come and deliver all the year-round grip you'll need and we polished off the reconditioning with a fresh alignment. Turn key and ready to rock, this family hauler is as good as it gets!
