The Nissan Y33 platform, simply put, is superb. It has a decidedly modern feel, and is every bit of the top-tier JDM luxury cruiser you could have hoped for! As far as executive sedans go, this vehicle is composed, smooth, fast, and packed full of electric amenities and safety features. Our 1996 Nissan Cedric GT Ultima is finished in a breathtaking Dark Blue Pearl (BP9), and aside from a few rock chips and blemishes from normal driving, is in good shape. With only a mere 35k verified and documented miles, this low mileage chassis drives even better than it looks! It boasts a spacious and rare leather interior and has more than enough room for a few friends or some family members to tag along with you. Fresh off a recent service, this Cedric GT would make for a rare and wonderful VIP platform, weekend cruiser, and daily commuter.

The cabin is well-appointed with plush amenities surrounding everyone within. Both of the front seats are power-adjustable and trimmed in black leather. The cowskins lack any major blemishes and are nearly impossible to find on these Cedrics. Leather is almost nonexistent in Japan and enthusiasts should also pay attention to the equally rare digital gauge cluster. The door cards are in great shape and the woodgrain from the center console breaks up the neutral interior color palette nicely. Dual SRS airbags are standard in the Ultima providing safety features that were not available in the earlier generation. Inside the glove box, you will find the original owner's manuals as a keepsake and we have included the original floor mats, too. The center console is equipped with digital automatic climate control that blows cold A/C when called upon, and the heat easily warms the passengers up during these frosty winter months. Although the OEM radio is powered, it doesn't play any sound through the speakers, but that should be a simple fix. Electric windows, locks, and mirror adjustments are all working as advertised and help make your drive more enjoyable. The carpet has resisted major stains and has held up well against use overseas. Spacious, comfortable, and lacking any squeaks or rattles, this Y33 cabin is about as nice as any you'll ever come across!

When Nissan revised the model in '96, it dropped in a modern VQ V6. The VQ30DET is lightweight and packs plenty of ponies. The power delivery is delightful, and the midrange torque gets this luxury sled moving in a hurry! Fresh off an oil and filter service, the VQ fires right up, thanks to a new 12v battery, and brand new set of six coil packs. A new engine air filter maximizes economy, allowing the 3.0L to breathe freely and one of our trained techs resealed the oil pan to keep the V6 topped up and happy. The engine is connected to a 4-speed automatic transmission. It is geared properly for highway cruising and it shifts smoothly. The factory suspension is composed and provides plenty of ground clearance to sail over large and intermediate bumps in the asphalt. An OEM front strut tower bar reduces the body roll when you are taking sharp turns and keeps this five-seater feeling tight. The brakes confidently slow you down thanks to new front and rear brake rotors and pads. The front-engine, rear-drive layout is actually really balanced, which is an underappreciated trait. Whether you are looking for a reliable daily commuter or a solid platform for a VIP build, this Y33 delivers is a cant-miss option.
