The Land Cruiser is one of Japan's most iconic models, and this 1992 is a special, eye-catching example. This VX Limited is set off by a fresh coat of Frozen Graphite, a one-off hue. Aside from some minor imperfections, the body looks good and this beautiful 80 is being offered with a mere  95k verified and documented miles. Its spacious and upscale inside, and under the flowing bodylines is a center-locked, turbo diesel rig ready to attack a trail at a moment's notice. For those who want size, performance, and efficiency this JDM SUV is a perfect fit. Recently serviced and turn key ready to roll, this Japanese Classic is collectible, reliable, and won't last long.

The cabin is chocked full of options because this is the top-of-the-line trim. Cruise control and an electric sunroof are just some of the wonderful amenities that make daily use enjoyable. Those who have purchased the American version 80 series have out on some killer equipment, sadly. Our JDM example boasts Toyotas CoolBox center console which keeps beverages cold on long drives. Electric windows, locks, and mirrors which all work, aside from the power-folding function on the driver's mirror. Whoever gets behind the wheel will find that that the view of the road ahead is clear and commanding. The dash is in good nick and lacks any cracking or distortion. A factory Field Monitor is mounted by the map light and allows the driver to see the direction of travel and also has an altimeter on hand. An adjustable steering column alloys the Nardi leather-wrapped wheel to be set at the right height, and electric lumbar support is located on the drivers' left-hand side if you have a long road trip planned. The Alacanata upholstery is in good shape overall and lacks any major rip, stains, or tears. Automatic climate control is standard. The large buttons are easy to read and depress and provide heat and A/C to those within the cabin. We wanted to note that only the high and low blower settings work. The door cards and headliner are in good shape, although the carpet has some stains in the cargo area. The cabin also lacks a working head unit, but that's an easy fix. Overall the interior was kept up nicely in Japan and offers a quiet, refined and pleasurable experience riding around town or on the interstate.

The stout, body-on-frame platform that underpins the 80 is an all-time great. Powered by the 1HD-T 4.2L, this big truck gets up and moves. Fresh off an oil and filter service the straight-six diesel whirrs to life with the twist of the key. Two new 12v batteries were installed in our shop and will last for years to come. These 1HD-Ts run fantastic, and this one is connected to an automatic gearbox. The Cruiser shifts with no issues and easily gets up to highway speeds. The full-time 4WD system has a center locker that can be engaged for use on the beach or if you encounter some slippery snow. The ground clearance is impressive and the suspension handles large and small potholes with confidence. The brakes are responsive too, and the front brake pads and rotors were replaced with new ones. The 16" Frontline SFW-III completes the aesthetic and has 35" all-terrain rubber-mounted at all four corners. These new tires will last for tens of thousands of miles to come and deliver all the year-round grip you'll need.
