Many car enthusiasts understand the pitfalls of owning luxury vehicles that are expensive to repair, overly complicated, and rely on tough-to-find parts. The joys of ownership can turn into liabilities and this certainly doesn't have to be the case. This 1995 Toyota Celsior is a material example of how if you built it right the first time, you can enjoy ownership even a quarter-century later. This UCF21 is a prime example of the second generation of this chassis, and this C Type is offered with an incredible 12k verified miles. Finished in a rare (6N9) Ebony Teal Pearl, the properly proportioned body is in good shape aside from some minor dings, chips, and scuffs associated with normal use. Chock full of power accessories and premium materials, this smooth-riding, air ride equipped, rear-drive, v8 sedan is a real deal low mileage Japanese Classic that is only going to go up in value.

The cabin is clean, spacious and full of safety features and technology. It's obvious this car was cared for in a prior life, and the cabin is above average in condition. You can even enter with the factory remote locking and unlocking key fob, which seldom works at this age! Even the old owner's manuals and service logs are still in the glove box right beside the OEM CD magazine. The driver receives an excellent experience behind the wheel, and this 1995 even has an electric tilting and telescoping steering column. Also, standard controls for power mirrors, locks, and windows are all at hand and work as they should. Even the power-folding functions work, and if that wasn't enough, the standard electric seat belt adjusters put it over the top! The upholstery is clean, soft to the touch, and lacks any major imperfections. Even the seat protectors are included in the sale. It was uncommon in the mid-'90s but the Celsior came standard with dual power front seats. They do have a tendency to bind, but these two work perfectly and both driver and passenger also benefit from dual SRS airbags. The headliner is clean as are the door cards and seats and even the factory first aid kit is still sitting in place under the passenger seat.

The driveline is nearly bulletproof, and Toyota's legendary 1UZ-FE powers this luxury sedan. Reworked in this chassis to deliver more power and burn less fuel, the near 300hp is more than enough to move this massive four-door. She turns over quickly thanks to a new 12v battery and is fresh off an oil and filter service. It idles nearly vibration-free and refinement is the highpoint of this powerplant. The v8 breaths a bit better thanks to a new engine air filter, and the next scheduled service is 3,000 miles in the future. Mated to a silky automatic power is sent to the rear wheels. The height-adjustable air suspension works as it should and delivers a seamless ride. The Celsior wafts over large and small potholes without breaking a sweat. The brakes are confident and the steering is light and power-assisted. The wheels are all wrapped in new all-season tires at all corners. They deliver a nearly silent ride, will last for years to come, and deliver a premium year-round grip.
