The Toyota Land Cruiser prior to the 80 series being introduced was known for being capable and reliable however wasn't considered refined or luxurious by any stretch of the imagination. That all changed with the development of the 80 series and this 1995 is one of the nicest we have seen in a while. Boasting the bulletproof 1HD-FT, this silky smooth 4WD rig returns impressive fuel economy and performance. Finished in a Dark Emerald Pearl over Moonglow Pearl two-tone the body is in good shape with only minor dings and scuffs indicative of its age and adorned with a set of OEM rain guards. At only 142k verified miles, this baby is only now just getting broken in and is fresh off a recent service. Legally imported and turn-key this tough truck would make for an ideal daily driver or weekend trail warrior.

The interior is spacious and full of power convenience features. Notable electric options include a functional retractable sunroof, power locks, driver lumbar, and power windows. These items make daily driving much easier and are complemented by a digital climate system that blasts cold a/c along with an upgraded, Bluetooth Pioneer head unit. Unlike most Japanese radios, the tuner function does include US frequency band and the speaker quality is decent. The dash is in good shape and lacks any major imperfections such as distortion or cracking. A digital clock, retractable cupholder, and decent-sized center console are all nice to have as well. The seats are trimmed in a soft gray Alcantara. Besides some seat bottom wear to the upholstery on the driver's seat, the seats are in above average shape and lack any major rips, stains, or tears. The headliner and door cards also look decent and the carpets haven't been subjected to much abuse. Privacy tint keeps cockpit temps down and protects the interior plastics. That's not to say the cabin is perfect as we did want to note that the power mirrors are inop and there is some wear to the steering wheel which has been obscured with a cover.

The mechanicals are simple, stout, and dependable. The 4.2L straight-six is fresh off an oil and filter service and starts up immediately thanks to two new 12v batteries. It idles confidently and with little to no vibration.  We had the factory turbo sent out for a rebuild and is now ready to last for years to come. Power is sent to all four wheels through a full-time 4WD system. The auto transmission shifts properly and is geared just fine for US interstates. If you happen to encounter some inclement weather there is a low gear set available and the center locking differential doesn't hurt either. The suspension is compliant for daily use and handles large and small road imperfections with confidence. The power steering is light and makes this massive LC easy to maneuver and the brakes are capable of reeling this thing in from higher speeds. The alloys are all wrapped in new all-terrain tires at all four corners. They should last for years to come and provide tons of year-round grip. We even put on a matching spare tire! Our techs did note a tiny rear main seal seep and valve cover seep but they aren't bad enough to need doing at this time.
