The Toyota HiAce is an exceptional people hauler. Quick, frugal, and spacious, this eight-seater boasts Toyota reliability and more power amenities than you might expect for a vehicle of this age. Finished in Silver Tri-Coat Metalic (21T) and offered with a mere 71K verified miles. The body is in good shape other than some minor dings, scuffs. Legally imported, this 1995 model is fresh off a recent service and would make a killer turn-key Ja[panese Classic the whole family can enjoy.

The interior is spacious and well-appointed. The view of the road ahead is clear and commanding, and the large windscreen and cab over design aid that. Expensive leather seat covers line the interior and keep spills and stains away from the velour underneath. The dash is in good nick but does have some small imperfections in the form of some small screw holes where a nav unit was mounted. Digital climate control is standard and works as it should, and the driver also has standard power windows, locks, and mirrors; all work except for the driver side mirror which must be manually adjusted. The driver also receives an adjustable steering column to help find the perfect seating position. Kenwood audio is the only cabin upgrade and this touch screen unit works and sounds good. Cupholders are available for front and rear occupants and the rear passengers also have a dedicated climate zone. Rear privacy tint also keeps prying eyes off cargo located behind the front seats. A soft close side door is incredibly advanced seeing as this van is a quarter-century old. If it's left ajar it will automatically pull closed so that the Toyota doesn't drain its own battery. An optional upgrade and this one has it. The middle panel no longer rolls back so it's a moonroof effectively. The rear one does pop up for increased ventilation and a view of the stars above. The middle row folds back to create a sleeping surface and can also be swiveled 180 degrees for a quick game of cards. The door cards, carpeting, and headliner are also in good shape lacking any major imperfections. Other items included in the sale are the factory owners' manuals and carpet mats.

Mechanically these are nearly bulletproof, and this drivetrain is a real gem. Powered by Toyota's venerable 1KZ-TE 3.0L diesel, this van gets up and moves and is known for returning decent MPG. Mounted between the front axles, the chassis is more balanced than front engine vans. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the four-banger turns over quickly with a twist of the key. Mated to an automatic gearbox, power is sent to the rear wheels in a smooth and linear manner. The suspension feels stable at both high and low speeds, while the brakes feel plenty confident. The power steering is light and the van is easy to park in tight spaces. The six-spoke aftermarket alloys add a bit of flair and are wrapped in new all-terrain rubber all around. They give the HiAce a quiet ride with plenty of year-round grip!
