The fourth-generation prelude was a worldwide success for Honda. The flowing lines and sexy proportions are timeless but pale in comparison to the brand's bulletproof mechanicals of this era. This 1995 powered by a hearty H22A mated to a manual gearbox and is offered with a mere 111K verified miles on the chassis. Finished in Silver Sebring Metalic (NH552M), the body is in good shape other than a few minor scuffs, dings, and chips associated with normal use. Fresh off a recent service, this rev-happy Honda coupe has been legally imported and is a turn-key Japanese Classic you can enjoy on a daily basis!

The interior is in above average shape compared to your typical 25-year-old car. The dash is in good shape and lacks any distortion or cracking. The only cabin upgrade is a Carrozzaria head unit which works fairly well stateside, however, you'll probably want to replace it down the road. The rest of the bits remain stock, the way Honda would have liked. The seats are upholstered in a soft, gray textured cloth. Lacking any major imperfections such as rips, holes, and tears they're particularly comfortable for long hauls. The carpets are in good shape, as are the door cards and headliner. Power windows and locks work as they should and an adjustable steering column is standard as well. The gauge cluster layout was a signature piece for this generation of the Prelude. The exterior had a bit of a futuristic look to it so the interior needed to play off that. The low and wide cluster array is particularly interesting as the tach and speedo are your traditional mechanical sweeping style with the fuel and temp gauges being a digital setup. They look particularly cool at night with the red and blue color scheme popping out at you. While Honda was never known for being luxury cars, it doesn't mean you have to go without. Power windows, with the one-touch driver's side control, is a solid upgrade from the options we saw stateside. You've also got power locks, mirrors, and a full-on automatic digital climate control system making this really a prime candidate for a fun new daily driver.

The drivetrain is among the best the brand ever produced, and that really means something. The 2.2L four-banger is inexpensive to service and the aftermarket support for this engine is impressive. Fresh off an oil and filter service the engine turns over with the quick twist of the key. Our trained technicians have also replaced the valve cover gasket so the H22A stays topped up on oil. Mated to a five-speed gearbox, acceleration is brisk around town and highway speeds are accomplished without having to tach-out the little Prelude. Fuel economy was always a strong suit of these models, but they also feature one rather lively chassis. The long-wheelbase is helpful in providing more stability at speeds, but the handling is what we really enjoy. the suspension keeps the platform planted and the grippy FWD setup tugs this coupe through the twisties. The steering is particularly direct thanks in part to Honda's four wheel steering system and grabby brakes to stop this lightweight two-door in no time flat. The alloy wheels are all wrapped in new all-season tires that were mounted and balanced by one of our trained technicians. The new rubber should last for years to come and does a good job of quieting down the ride, all while providing plenty of grip in less than ideal conditions.
