If you need loads of room and a refined ride, this 1995 HiAce is a decent fit. Underpinned by a FullTime 4WD system and powered by one of Toyota's best-designed turbodiesels, this rig won't disappoint. Finished in a lovely White Pearl Over Light Beige Metallic (27W) two-tone, this seven-seater is set off by OEM rainguards, and 15" black refinished alloy wheels. Aside from a few light scuffs, chips, and dings the paint is in good shape and this Super Custom Limited is fresh off a recent service. Offered with a mere 119k verified and documented miles on the clock, this transporter is barely broken in! Reliable, practical, and unique, this Toyota would make for a terrific daily driver, excellent adventure van, or groovy grocery getter. Affordable and useful Japanese Classics make tons of sense, and offer serious bang for the buck!
The cabin is in above-average shape and this one is better equipped than most. This one was optioned with a power driver's seat, electric adjustable steering column, and backlit digital gauge cluster. All these items work as well, and that's just the start of the good stuff! Entering the cabin is seamless thanks to keyless entry. For rear occupants, a large, soft-close sliding door allows for quick boarding. The seats are upholstered in a soft, cognac-colored cloth. The material is soft and lacks any major rips, stains, or tears. The middle bench swivels 180 degrees to face the rear, and can also be set up as a sleeping platform. If you want to catch a nap under the stars, three moonroofs dot the ceiling. The middle unit is massive, and can be retracted fully exposing a view of the skies above. The rear power tilts, and the the front is a manual unit. If you want to full open-air experience the front windows power down and the side glass manual pops outward. Power locks and mirrors work in typical Toyota fashion, and make daily use more enjoyable. The automatic climate control has dual zones, and doles out heat and cold A/C upon request. The dashboard lacks any cracking or fading and cup holders are integrated next to a massive center console. Aside from nonfunctional power-folding side mirrors and a non operational head unit, it's hard to complain about the cabin. On the positive side, the owners manuals and maintenance booklets have been retained, and overall the interior leaves little to be desired.
Beloved for its cushy ride and capable year-round 4WD, this HiAce is also powered by a legendary engine. The 1KZ-TE is a tough little mill, and this one is fresh off an oil and filter service. The 3.0L hums to life care of a new 12v battery and runs like a champ. A new fuel filter works to keep unwanted contaminants out of the 1K and a new set of serpentine belts allows for the electronics to be properly powered. One of our trained techs has replaced the valve cover gasket and half moon seals to refresh the four-banger. Its linked to a stout automatic that shifts just as it should. Torque is put to the ground properly thanks to some new front CV boots and the HiAce is peppy about town and can cruise comfortably at interstate speeds. It slows down just as well as it accelerates, and new front brake pads and a fresh brake fluid flush should keep those stopping distances short! It can handle the rigors of daily use and abuse and offers an above-average ride quality on the tarmac. That's due to a full rehab of the suspension as all four shocks and the shock bushings have been swapped out for new units. We didn't stop there and also replaced the front and rear swaybar links and front and rear swaybar bushings. The power steering is light, yet on point, and grip is handled by new all-terrain Falken tires mounted and balanced at each corner. The new rubber will last for tens of thousands of miles to come thanks to a fresh alignment and this rig drives straight as an arrow.
