Exterior Overview
Van Life in the US has been booming ever since the pandemic. This HiAce offers a unique opportunity to get a real-deal overlanding experience at a fraction of the cost of an RV or Sprinter conversion. Fresh off a recent service, this van boasts compact exterior dimensions, an unstoppable turbodiesel, 4WD drivetrain, and an interior that has enough space to tackle weekend camping excursions or road trips with ease. Finished in a new coat of Pepper White (850), this 1995 Hiace Living Saloon is in good shape overall, and is set off by custom graphics and some neat OEM rainguards. It also boasts only 102k verified miles on the clock, which is barely broken in by Toyota standards. Save for a few paint imperfections, this 8 seater is in great shape for being 30 years young. Ideal as a weekend campsite companion, or even a capable daily driver, the Hiace does it all and does it well. This Japanese Classic has all the options and good looks to boot; all it needs is an eager new owner!

Interior Overview
The Hiace’s interior is a special place for both pilots and passengers. Outrageously ahead of its time, it’s spacious, feature-packed, and comfortable too, if you decide to embark on a longer road trip. The mocha-hued upholstery spans all three rows of versatile seating and is free of major damage, which is impressive on a van of this vintage. Able to adapt to nearly any scenario, the middle row can swivel a full 180 degrees to face the rear, and all three rows can fold flat to form a makeshift sleeping surface. Up front, the pilot can get comfortable behind a tilt adjustable steering column, and can dial in both front and rear climate zones with cold A/C and hot heat. Adjacent to the HVAC control, a trick OEM TV/Radio powers on. Both power windows work well up front, and a trick triple moonroof suite opens and closes at the push of a button, should you want to supplement the cabin with a fresh breeze. Also operable are power locks and side mirrors to assist daily use and maneuverability. The headliner is tidy and features a massive flourescent map light, and the carpets are in good shape too. Save for an inoperable TV display in the rear, most buyers should have very little to scrutinize in this excellent cabin, and we retained the factory optional lace seat covers to give this cockpit some period-correct appeal!

Mechanical Overview
Power is delivered via Toyota’s robust 1KZ-TE mounted midship. This punchy turbodiesel has a staunch reputation for being one of the brand’s best powerplants for commuter trucks and vans, and ours is fresh off a recent service, ready for the road ahead. First, our trained technicians installed a new 12v battery to ensure you’ll never be left stranded. A fresh oil and filter service was performed, and the coolant was flushed and replaced with new juice. We replaced the diesel fuel filter, and this 3.0TD jets up to highway speeds, with your accessories staying reliably driven by new serpentine belts. The turbo offers a formidable oomph down low, and the automatic transmission does a fine job at transferring power to the rear wheels while still being geared appropriately for higher speed highway drives, should a longer road trip be in the cards. To get you on track for future maintenance schedules, a transmission flush was also performed! New shocks dial in the handling a touch, and the suspension is soft and compliant overall, even on rougher terrain. We also did the legwork of a full steering rack rebuild, complete with new seals, inner and outer tie rods, and new rack boots. The ABS benefit from new pads and rotors up front, and the alloys are even wrapped in fresh Yokohama rubber, sure to deliver plenty of grip whenever and wherever you need it most!
