1995 Toyota Crown Majesta

It's always nice to be the first, and available for sale is the first legal S150 Majesta we've had come through. In the mid-'90s, the luxury offerings from Toyota were some of the best in the business. Looking sharp in a lustrous Black Jade Metallic (6N9), the chassis and body underwent a full clean-sheet redesign. The body is in good shape, other than some minor dings and scuffs associated with normal use. Still present under the hood is Toyota's legendary 1UZ-FE V8 so parts are easy to find, and the cabin is full of space and power amenities. This 1995 boasts an incredibly low 68K verified miles; this recently serviced and legally imported sedan is a unique luxury car that is comfortable to drive and inexpensive to own! After all, it is a Japanese Classic. 

The cabin has been wonderfully cared for back in Japan, which is evident to anyone who sees the car in person. These cars are all about the little details, such as the factory carpet mats which are included in the sale and were used for years in Japan to protect the carpets. There is plenty of room for five, with headroom and ample leg space for all who come aboard. The amount of equipment is equally impressive, and it's not just luxury items; it's safety systems as well. The Majesta is one of the first models we have retailed that includes dual SRS airbags for driver and passenger. Power folding mirrors, electric locks, and power windows are standard and work as they should. The windshield even displays the speed on a heads-up display, which is uncommon even in today's vehicles. Paired with a digital gauge cluster, it's clear that Toyota was making a technology push. The steering wheel adjustments are manual, however, it tilts and telescopes which is rare to find. Even the digital climate system has tech built into it featuring a rather clever oscillating vent system. The front seats on the other hand are powered, and incredibly comfortable on long journeys. Upholstered in a soft gray cloth, the material is in far above average shape for a car of this age. That's because it came to the US with some seriously heinous seat covers, which you'll thank us for removing based on their aesthetic. Therefore, the cloth lacks any major rips, stains, or tears. The headliner and door cards are in good nick, as well as the carpets.  

The mechanicals are through and through Toyota. When these cars were being produced, Toyota was building some of their best drivetrains and this vehicle is no exception. Reworked to create more power, the 4.0L 1UZ propels this rig. Fresh off an oil service, the engine turns over promptly with the twist of the key, and runs smoothly with little vibration. The V8 is nearly silent except when you put your foot into the right pedal. As you'd expect, an automatic was the only option for the Majesta and this one is a gem. It shifts as it should and delivers high on refinement and feels stout when shifting at wide-open throttle. Acceleration is linear and the Crown gets up to highway speeds with ease, so merging is never an issue. Torque is fed to the rear wheels, and the big saloon glides over road imperfections like a knife cutting through butter. The power-assisted steering is light, and the brakes are direct. The alloy wheels are all wrapped in new all-season rubber that we have mounted and balanced here at the dealership. They quiet down the ride and will last for plenty of miles while maintaining year-round grip.
