The ultimate in Japanese luxury, the build quality of this 1995 Toyota Celsior Type C is impressive even by 2020 manufacturing standards. This UCF21 rides like a dream, with its factory adjustable air suspension, and its powerful yet smooth 4.0L V8. At only 42K verified miles on the odometer, this beautiful Star Sapphire Pearl (8L1) body is good shape other than some minor dings, dents, and chips associated with normal use. Legally imported, and maintenanced here stateside by our trained technicians, this premium sedan would make a great daily driver or unique weekend ride for those that can appreciate a Japanese flagship sedan.

The cabin is filled with quality materials and has aged gracefully. We can tell when one of these has been cared for and its obvious this one has, with its factory plush carpet mats still intact and the owner's manuals still in the glove box. The dash is in good shape, lacking any major imperfections and wood veneers add a little contrast to this Toyotas color pallet. Power equipment is everywhere, including electric windows, locks, and mirrors. A rare power-retractable sunroof sits atop the roof, letting in light and extra ventilation. The OEM rainguards keep the noise down inside with the windows down all the way. The touch screen audio and climate controls work as they should, and the A/C blows cold. Even a factory TV is included if you're down to watch some CrossFire in typical '90's fashion. The driver even has a button to raise and lower a parking pole to more easily find the front end of the vehicle whilst parking. Lexus powered up the passenger and driver seat belt adjusters and the two captains chairs up front are fully adjustable and powered to ensure everyone rides in comfort. On the safety side, this is one of the first Japanese imports to feature dual front SRS airbags, although hopefully they never have to be utilized. Cupholders are available to every passenger, and the rear seat is cavernous. The soft, gray cloth has held up well over the years and has no major imperfections such as rips, burns, or tears to note. Perfect for long-distance road trips, they keep everyone comfortable and are known for being well-bolstered. Privacy tint keeps prying eves away from those in the back portion of this saloon, and breaks up the harmful rays of the sun to preserve the interior plastics and keep things a tick cooler during the summer months. The door cards and headliner are in good nick, although the carpet does have some light staining as you'd expect with any 25 year old vehicle. Also of note, the power steering column no longer tilts but can still perform its telescoping function. After all, this is a 25-year-old ride, but as a whole, the overall condition is particularly impressive.

Nestled under the long bonnet is Toyotas legendary 1UZ-FE V8. Reworked for better efficiency and more power in this second-generation platform, the engine benefits from a fresh oil and filter service to keep her happy for another 3,000 miles. She turns over with the twist of a key and sets into a near vibration-free idle. Mated to a silky smooth automatic gearbox, power is sent to rear wheels as its should be. The automatic shifts as it should and the gearing is perfect for our US interstates. At those speeds this car really shines, as noise, vibration and harshness are all kept to a minimum. The height-adjustable air suspension insulated those within the cabin from any road imperfections encountered and the system works as it should. The brakes are capable and the power-assisted steering can be articulated with ease, as its very light.

For those with a grueling commute, or those in need or a non-temperamental luxury car, this Celsior is the one. Its overall condition, low cost of ownership, and inexpensive inception price make this a real-deal Japanese Classic you won't want to miss!
