Big things come in small packages when it comes to Kei trucks from the land of the rising sun. We did get the older brother, the Suzuki Samurai here stateside so those who are familiar will quickly recognize this Kei truck. The look of this Jimny is distinct with the exposed hardware, hood scoop, and stout boxy design. This 1995 Suzuki Jimny is finished in a one off Mercury Silver Metallic (1VN) the paint job is mediocre but looks good enough if you're not too picky. With only 111k verified and documented miles, this little rig has plenty of life ahead of itself. The mild suspension lift and aggressive Dunlop tires make this a trail or beach ready rig for some off-road adventures. The exterior benifits from OEM rain guards, HID headlight upgrade, and a catback exhaust system.

The interior is clean and comfy in this JA22. The dash is free of any cracking or distortion and is in great shape for its age. The OEM steering wheel was changed out for an Altezza Designo wheel to allow the driver a better grip for maneuvering this little rig around town. A Kenwood headunit replaces the OEM radio and works as expected for all your tunes. Although the A/C does not blow cold air, the heat works great for the upcoming winter. The seats are fitted with a soft black leather cover on both rows and lack any rips or tears in the material. The headliner is clear of any sagging, and the carpet below shows no stains or rips. The door cards are intact with no tears and have manual roll down windows to allow a fresh breeze into the cabin. A rugged mini monster truck that still delivers a comfortable driving experience.

The mechanics of this Jimny are simple and straightforward. Parts are still available whether you turn a wrench or have a local shop to help maintain your vehicle. Under the bonnet of this JA22 is a K6A 658cc I3 turbo engine which puts out all 63 horses at full boost. A quick turn of the key and this monster comes to life with the help of a new 12v battery. Based on the gearing in this Kei truck, city driving or beach cruising will be more ideal than highway speeds. The acceleration is rather quick for a 660cc and is peppy under load. Mated up to this engine is a 5-speed manual transmission and 3 pedals, allowing you to call the shots for the proper gear. The clutch easily engages and is smooth when you're shifting through the gears. The selectable 4WD is on standby to help you get out of a sticky situation, and in a worst-case scenario, the manual locking hubs are a helpful reinforcement to get you back on the trail. The mild suspension lift allows a full view of the road ahead and absorbs the bumps and potholes, delivering a seamless experience. The brakes are responsive and slow this rig down to a stop with confidence. Off of a recent oil and filter service, this Jimny is one cool mini monster rig to get behind the wheel of. Lastly, the underbody does require repairs from rust and corrosion holes. If you are the DIY type, this will save you thousands on a comparable truck. It runs and drives great, but unfortunately will not pass VA safety inspection, so we can not issue 30 day tags for it, and it will need to be either shipped or towed from our dealership.
