The Nissan Skyline is hailed as one of the best performance exports out of the small island of Japan. For some reason, the R33 gets lost in the fray, caught between the iconic R32 and R34 generations. It amazes us that cars like this 1995 GTS25-t can be found so affordably, yet perform at such a high level. Powered by a fire-breathing turbo 2.5L inline-six, paired with a manual transmission, and rear wheel drive, it ticks all the right boxes. Finished in Gun Gray Metallic (KH2) the body is in good shape other than some minor dings, dents, and scuffs associated with normal use. Offered with only 105K verified miles, this Japanese Classic not only looks fantastic but more importantly is eager to stretch its legs and tackle some twisties!

The interior of this Type M is above average in condition. Besides a crack rear speaker grill, there is remarkably little to complain about. The dash is in good nick and has been spared from any cracks, holes, or major imperfections. The gauges are easy to read, and the factory digital climate is close at hand. The A/C blows cold while power windows, locks, and mirrors are standard. The steering wheel and gear lever are in above average shape, and the gray cloth seats are quite comfortable and surprisingly soft to the touch. Bolstered well for long drives, they don't suffer from any major imperfections common to the R33, such as driver side bolster wear. Further aiding comfort is the adjustable steering column and noticeable improvement in headroom over the prior years model. The carpets are in good shape due to the OEM mats that have been protecting them over the years. Those plush carpet coverings are included in the trunk for posterity. The headliners and door cards are properly upholstered and clean. But the good stuff doesn't end there, as even the OEM audio system is still functional.

The driveline is what dreams are made of. Nissan's turbocharged and intercooled RB25DET makes an appearance and benefit from a fresh oil and filter service. The silky smooth 2.5L inline-six whirrs to life with a quick twist of the key. Our trained technicians have taken care of a few needed maintenance items including a new fuel pump and filter along with a fresh set of plugs. Best of all, a new OEM timing belt and water pump service has been performed, which is the single most expensive service the R33 gets! The five-speed manual is beefier than the R32 unit it replaces; it shifts well and goes into whichever gear you demand with ease. Power is sent to the rear wheel, and the factory suspension and brakes are well equipped to handle daily duties. The steering is power-assisted and direct, which is really helpful in such a balanced platform. The five-spoke alloy wheels are all sporting freshly mounted tires at all four corners. The all-season tires do a great job of quieting down the ride and provide tons of year-round grip.

As unmolested, clean, Skyline inventory dwindles in Japan this R33 sits here stateside merely awaiting its new owner. For those who want a sports car that drives great, is easy to find parts for, and doesn't break the bank this Nissan Skyline is a wonderful proposition.
