The R33 performs better and features many upgrades over the R32 it replaced, and this 1995 GTS25t Type M is a great low mileage example. Finished in Nissan's fantastic Spark Silver Metallic (KL0) this ECR33 coupe is offered with a mere 68k verified and documented miles. The body is in excellent shape aside from a few minor dings and scuffs associated with normal use and the paint shines brilliantly in the sun. Notable repairs in Japan include a new front bumper. Upgrades to the exterior include a set of 17" Volk CV-Pro wheels and adjustable coilovers. Powerful, responsive, and more refined than they are given credit for, this seriously fun sports car is a collectible Japanese Classic that you can drive and enjoy!
The cabin is in good shape overall and includes several power amenities and safety features. The dash is in great shape and lacks any UV damage or distortion. It is also equipped with a driver's side front SRS airbag for added safety. The power locks, windows, and mirrors all work however the power-folding mirror function is no longer working. The seats are in good shape and lack any major rips, stains, or tears. They are adequately bolstered and are comfortable on long cruises. The carpets are in fine shape as are the door cards and the headliner which have resisted major wear over the years. The digital automatic climate control works great and blows cold A/C and hot heat. The upgraded Kenwood radio functions properly and the sound quality is decent. The original owner's manuals are even included in the glovebox! That's not to say the interior is perfect we did want to note the common trim wear on the radio and climate control trim.
The mechanicals were a vast improvement over the R32. The chassis is more rigid, resulting in fewer squeaks and rattles. The other benefit is less sloppy handling even though the 33 tips the scales above the 32. To compensate for that Nissan upped the power and equipped the R33 GTS25T with the RB25DET. This 2.5L turbocharged engine makes killer mid-range torque and is much more responsive to modifications than the RB20DET. Fresh off an oil and filter service the straight-six starts up promptly thanks to a new 12v battery and breathes better thanks to a new engine air filter. The RB is mated to a slick-shifting five speed manual gearbox which shifts smoothly with no grinds and the clutch shows no signs of slipping. Power is sent to the rear wheels and this four-seater easily scoots up to and above legal highway speeds. The adjustable coilover suspension gets the ride height proper which can be adjusted to your liking and the long-wheelbase provides some impressive highway stability. The brakes are responsive and the power steering is nicely weighted and communicative. The 17" Volk Racing wheels are all wrapped in new rubber at all four corners. These quiet down the ride, and will deliver plenty of grip for tens of thousands of miles to come.
