The R33 Nissan Skyline sedan is a wonderful car, with its improved size, refinement, and rigidity over the model it replaced, the R32. This 1995 GTS is finished in Dark Gray Pearl (KN6) and offered with a mere 31K verified miles. The body is in good nick other than some dings, chips, and scuffs associated with normal use. Fresh off a recent service, this manual transmission, rear-drive, six-cylinder cruiser would make for a reliable and unique daily driver with room for five.

The cabin utilized much better materials than the 32 did, and the cabin has held together particularly well over the years. With the exception of a non-functional aftermarket head unit and a small bolster tear on the driver's seat, it's really hard to critique this one. The dash is in great condition, lacking any major imperfections such as cracks or weather-related distortion. Visibility is better than most new cars and this saloon lacks bulky A-pillars that obscure the road ahead on modern vehicles. To get more comfortable the driver receives an adjustable steering column as standard equipment. The OEM steering wheel houses an SRS airbag, which is uncommon and a bonus to have from a safety perspective. Power equipment includes power-folding side mirrors and electric door locks and windows. All these items work and a digital climate system is standard to boot. The OEM upholstery is trimmed in a light gray cloth that is soft to the touch. The seating surfaces have been properly maintained, are clean, and comfy on long trips. The legroom is noticeably improved over the prior model, as is the headroom. The carpets are in good shape and are the door cards, and the headliner is properly upholstered to the roof.

The R33 sedan is a much better daily driver than the 89-93 models it replaced. Improvements were made to the chassis, which resulted in better handling and fewer squeaks and rattles. The engine featured in this example is Nissan RB20E. Its silky-smooth operation is thanks to its layout and small displacement. Fresh off an oil and filter service, she starts up quickly and sets into a near vibration-free idle, thanks to a newly installed 12v battery. Mated to a manual gearbox, the little four-banger makes good use of the power and this Skyline has enough power to safely merge and cruise on our stateside freeways. The manual shifts as it should, and lacks any hitches or grinds. Torque is sent to the rear wheels, as it should with a proper sports sedan. The brakes feel confident and the long wheelbase of the sedan lends itself to an above-average ride quality for a car of this age. The steering is power-assisted and easy to articulate while parking. The aftermarket, five-spoke, Buster alloy wheels are all wrapped in brand new all-season tires at all corners. Mounted and balanced by one of our trained technicians, they will provide plenty of year-round grip for thousands of miles to come.

This four-door Japanese Classic is a great value if we do say so ourselves. For a 25-year-old vehicle, it still displays premium and athletic driving dynamics, making this Skyline a blast to scoot around in. Legally imported and freshly serviced at such an inexpensive entry price, it's hard to believe this one will last long, and you won't want to miss out.
