Nissan's S14 is a quintessential 2 door sport coupe. With a tried and true front engine rear wheel drive layout and fan-favorite styling, this 1995 is a fantastic example of the lovable and recognizable S14 chassis. Finished in a fresh coat of Nissan's Aspen White (WK0) the exterior of this Silvia Q's shows nicely, and is set off by an optional Aero front bumper, optional side skirts, optional rear spats, an optional Navan rear spoiler, and a set of 17" Kosei mesh alloys. Showing no discernible defects to the exterior aside from some rock chips here and there, this S14 is a real stunner. This should come as no surprise, the 36k verified and documented miles on the clock make this ride highly collectible. We addressed some minor corrosion in the rear wheel arches which was replaced with new metal and giving this beautiful S14 a new lease on life! Underpinned by a reliable drivetrain and some of Nissan's best designs to date, this S14 Silvia is the textbook definition of a true Japanese Classic.
The interior of this coupe is just as well kept and put together as the exterior. Finished in a patterned cloth over black, the upholstery has held up quite well and was clearly cared for in a prior life. The seats lack any major rips stains or miscellaneous wear and the remaining materials show well, from the headliner to the complementary black door cards. The low-lying dashboard is free of any distortion or UV damage and houses a driver airbag for the safety conscious. The lower dash trim is in equally good nick, and an easy-to-use digital climate control system sits adjacent to functional Kenwood audio. For the summer months ahead the A/C blows ice cold throughout the cabin and is fresh off a recharge. Both power windows work properly, and power locks and power folding mirrors work as advertised to make daily use a bit more enjoyable. The rear bench can store most pets and small children with no issue, but the seat back will definitely need to be folded down if you wish to maximize cargo space in the rear. Overall, the condition of this cabin is above average, and it's evident the previous Japanese owner took excellent care of this one.
The SR20DE under the bonnet is a simple-to-service unit that benefits from a bevy of both OEM and aftermarket support here in the US. Ours has already undergone extensive service by our trained technicians in-house to ensure smooth operation for the road ahead. The battery has been replaced with a US-compatible lightweight unit that was also installed to properly test the alternator. She starts up the first time, every time, and is up to date on fluids thanks to a fresh oil and filter service. The 2.0L sounds great too thanks to a free flowing Kakimoto exhaust that was installed in Japan. Aiding operation is a brand new fuel pump, with a new fuel filter installed for good measure. The engine air filter was also changed to keep the SR20 free of any unwanted contaminants. With the maintenance performed this one runs like a champ and shoots up to highway speeds without hesitation. The automatic gearbox does a fine job of transferring power smoothly down to the rear wheels, and it's geared quite well for highway driving if longer trips are your fancy. The suspension feels composed, and the brakes chomp down hard thanks to freshly installed pads and rotors all the way around. Lastly, we wrapped the alloys in fresh all-season rubber at all four corners. The new tires keep road noise to a minimum and provide will provide plenty of grip for tens of thousands of miles to come.
