1995 Nissan Gloria Turbo
Pending Sale: $12,995
The Nissan Gloria was redesigned for 1995 and entered its ninth generation. As one of the premier executive class sedans of the time, the model delivered gobs of space and luxury appointments at an affordable price point. Finished in Cloud White (QN0) and accented with the optional OEM side skirts, and rear spats, this sedan turns more than a few heads. Aside from some light dings, chips, and scuffs associated with normal use, the body is in good shape overall. The drive is even better, as Nissan chose a modern, three-liter turbo VQ powerplant to propel this rear-drive saloon car. Fresh off a recent service, this 80k verified and documented mile chassis is turn-key and ready to rock. For those looking for a roomy and stylish JDM import, this Gloria would make for an ideal weekend cruiser, VIP show car, or even a daily driver!
The cabin is in above average condition overall and was obviously cared for overseas. Power amenities surround the driver and the view of the road ahead is clear and unobstructed. The dashboard is in good shape and lacks any cracking or distortion. For the first time ever, the Gloria was designed with standard dual front SRS airbags for some additional peace of mind. A simple to use automatic climate control system is at hand and includes boiling heat and cold A/C. The OEM radio is below and functions, however, the display no longer works. Unlike most cars at the time, this Y33 has powered front seats. They both work and the driver can control the passenger seat with a set of switches on the side of the seat, too. Other electric equipment includes electric door locks, power-folding mirrors, and windows. These items all work as advertised and make daily use enjoyable. Even the OEM lace seat covers are still in place, and the gray upholstery below lacks any major rips, stains, or tears. The headliner, door cards, and carpets have resisted major damage over the years and rear privacy tint keeps the harmful rays of the sun away from the soft-touch materials.
The Y33 is one of the best driving luxury rides out there. It feels modern because it is, and the engine is an absolute gem. The VQ30DET is fresh off an oil and filter service and starts up with a quick twist of the key. A new 12v battery has been installed to aid ignition and once fired up, the V6 sets into a confident idle. New serpentine belts keep the numerous accessories happy and will last for a long while to come. Power is fed through a smooth-shifting automatic gearbox and sent to the rear wheels. The midrange power is awesome and this sled hastily gets up to highway speeds. The long-wheelbase is great for high-speed cruising and new rear struts have been installed to refresh the suspension. Large and small potholes alike are gobbled up by this Nissan and the steering is light and easy to articulate. A new left steering rack boot was taken care of by one of our trained techs and the sedan goes just where you point it. The five-spoke factory allows are all wrapped in new rubber at all four corners. The new tires quiet down the ride nicely and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come.
