Nissan knows how to build one smooth-riding sedan and the Y33 platform is no exception. This 1995 Gloria is finished in a stately Silver Metallic (KL0) and offered for sale with a mere 41K verified miles. While the properly proportioned rear-wheel-drive saloon does have a few minor dings, scuffs, and chips associated with normal use it's overall in great condition. Its comfortable cabin has room for five and plenty of powered amenities. Recently serviced, and legally imported, this uniquely styled GranTurismo model would make a killer daily driver or weekend cruiser. Either way, its a certified Japanese Classic.
The cabin is about as nice as any example we have imported to date. The list of power features are quite long, and its standard dual SRS airbags are a rare safety feature that can be found in this example. Upon entering the cockpit, it becomes plainly apparent how well this car has been kept up. The gray cloth seats are soft to the touch and super supportive on long drives. lacking any major rips, stains, or tears, the driver's side has a memory setting and is fully powered. When the key is removed from the ignition, the seat will automatically slide rearward, making for an easy vehicle exit. The dash is in good shape as well, accented by faux wood trim. The digital climate system is intuitive and easy to use. The A/C blows cold and the OEM audio located below it works as it should. Power adjustable mirrors, electric locks, and windows are also standard. The headliner, door cards, and carpets are all clean and tightly upholstered. The trunk is sizable and can be used for a trip back from the airport fitting a few suitcases easily.
This sedan boasts the proper drivetrain layout with a smooth-running V6 up front and rear drive at the back. At 3.0L, this VG30E makes good power while returning decent fuel economy. Fresh off an oil and filter service the engine turns over quickly with a turn of the key. The automatic transmission works well, happy to change gears albeit with very little urgency. But that's how a luxury car should be, and the platform does a decent job of sorting out road imperfections without breaking a sweat. We have replaced the front left inner and out tie rod to shore up some excess suspension play, and the saloon tracks straight and is a pleasure to drive at speed. The ride is heavily insulated from the road, and the Y33 has a more refined ride than you'd expect at this price point. The steering is light and the power-assisted brakes slow this midsize four-door down with confidence. The five-spoke silver alloys are all wrapped in new all-season rubber, which can handle less than ideal road conditions year-round.
This affordable, reliable, and well-built Gloria is too good of a deal to pass up. Its low verified miles and outstanding overall condition should make the next owner of this uniquely styled Nissan proud of their purchase!
