After being in business for a decade, we have been privy to quite a few advancements in automotive technology. This 1995 Nissan Gloria feels like a considerably more modern car than most of the vehicles we sell. Fitted with loads of power equipment, a wonderful turbo VQ, and dual airbags, this luxury cruiser ticks so many important boxes. Finished in a pretty Super Black (KH3), the classically proportioned body in good shape aside from the normal dings, chips, and scuffs associated with routine use. Offered with a mere 70K verified miles, this rear-drive sedan is comfortable, refined, and inexpensive to own. Legally imported and freshly serviced, this cruiser is a real-deal Japanese Classic.

The interior condition on our Gloria is above average in most respects. This level of equipment is tough to find for the price point; some highlights include power front seats and dual SRS airbags. The dash is in good nick and lacks any cracking or distortion. The upscale theme is continued with the use of wood grain veneer around the center stack and console. The automatic digital climate is standard, intuitive, and works properly. Directly below it is the OEM audio system that works flawlessly. The clarity of the speakers is decent, even at this age. Power folding mirrors, electric locks, and windows all function properly and are convenient. The blue cloth textured upholstery is nearly perfect. Lacking any major rips, stains, or tears they are supportive over long voyages. The headliner, door cards, and carpets are clean. For road-tripping, the Y33 does also boasts a massive trunk! It's obvious after being inside the cockpit that this car was cared for, and this is further evidenced by the owner's manual which is still in the glove box of the car.

When you think of a proper luxury saloon a few things likely come to mind. This Gran Turismo Ultima model delivers in many respects, but let's start with the mechanicals. One of Nissan's most legendary series of motors makes a debut in the Y33. The 3.0L VQ30DET powers this one which is fresh off an oil and filter service as well as a new air filter. She starts up quickly with the twist of a key and sets into a low vibration idle. The compact V6 sends power rearward through a very responsive automatic transmission. The gearbox shifts as it should and makes good use of the drivetrain's low-end grunt. Acceleration is surprisingly impressive for a sedan this size, especially compared to the prior generations. Highway gearing is fine for our interstates which can't be said about everything that we bring over. The long-wheelbase sorts out road imperfections and returns a stable ride at speed. The OEM suspension is composed and is suited for daily use. The steering is power-assisted and the rear-drive layout has an impressively tight turning circle for a vehicle this size. The simple five-spoke alloys match this model's personality well and are all wrapped in new tires at all four corners. These new all-season tires should last for years to come and quiet down the ride nicely. They also have plenty of tread for year-round use if you happen to encounter some inclement weather.
