1995 Nissan Cedric Y33

Stock #5566

The Nissan Cedric Y33 is a refined luxury sedan and surprisingly one of the best values in today’s JDM market. This 1995 Nissan Cedric feels like a considerably more modern car than most vehicles of this period. Fitted with Nissans cutting edge equipment, a wonderful VQ power plant, and dual SRS airbags, this luxury cruiser delivers a lot of bang for your buck. Finished in Arctic White Pearl (QN0) over Platinum Silver (KL0), this beaut is in great shape aside from some minor dings, chips, and scuffs associated with normal daily use. Offered with a remarkably low 42k verified and documented miles, this rear-drive sedan is comfortable, classy, and inexpensive to own thanks to sharing many parts with models here in the US. Legally imported and freshly serviced, this cruiser would make for a great daily driver or VIPstyle project making it a certified Japanese Classic.

Once inside the cabin you’ll find that this Cedric is about as nice as any other example we have imported to date. The list of power features is quite long, and its standard dual SRS airbags provide peace of mind to both the driver and passenger. The gray cloth seats are soft to the touch and super supportive on long drives. The driver can find the optimal seating position thanks to the power driver’s seat and an adjustable steering column. The textured gray cloth is in spectacular shape overall, showing no notable signs of wear. The carpet and headliner are also still in excellent condition considering this commuter is 25 years of age. The dashboard and door cards show no lifting or cracking and sport woodgrain accents giving a more luxurious and modern touch to the cockpit. In the heat of the summer, the aftermarket privacy tint helps keep the cabin cool in collaboration with a fully functioning digital climate control system that provides cold A/C on demand. Power locks, power windows and power mirrors are also standard and make daily driving much more enjoyable. That’s not to say the interior is perfect. The aftermarket Alpine head unit is working properly but at full volume the audio is quite low and the power-folding feature on the side mirrors is currently inoperable. Additionally, the center ashtray retract function is faulty and the carpeted rear trunk mat is missing. Overall, this spacious sedan was well cared for by its previous owner and is ready to continue providing a luxurious commute here stateside.

The drivetrain powering this Y33 chassis is known for its low cost of ownership, and long-term durability. The VQ30DE ranked high on the Ward’s 10 Best Engines list from 1995 through 2001 thanks to its aluminum open deck block design and relative lightweight. Sharing the same engine as its little front-wheel-drive cousin, the Nissan Maxima, this 3.0L is easily serviceable although it is no slouch in the rear-wheel-drive configuration. The refined V6 fires up promptly, with a twist of the key, thanks to a new 12V battery and idles smooth with its new fuel filter and spark plugs recently installed by our trained technicians. The transmission operates quite smooth, and shifts are crisp and uneventful. You’ll find under hard braking the pedal is firm, while the factory suspension and power assisted steering are precise adding confidence while this big body bombs the back roads. With the addition of four brand new tires cabin noise is minimal and the new rubber will provide plenty of grip for tens of thousands of miles to come.
