One of the newest JDM vehicles finally legal to bring in the states is the redesigned 1995 Nissan Cedric. Incredibly refined for the pricepoint this Cloud White (QN0) example is offered with just 37K verified miles and features a rear-wheel-drive punchy turbocharged V6. Sporting all of the good OEM aero bits including the front bumper, side skirts, and rear spats, the properly proportioned body is in good shape other than some minor dings and scuffs associated with normal use. Fitted with tons of power equipment and safety improvements, this recently serviced and legally imported Japanese Classic would make for a fantastic daily driver or VIP showcar!

The cabin is filled with power amenities, premium materials, and cutting edge technology for the time. Eagle-eyed viewers will note that this sedan has standard dual SRS airbags for both passenger and driver. Other rare options include power driver and passenger seat, as well as functional keyless entry. The dashboard is in good nick, lacking any major imperfections such as cracks or distortion. Although a supplemental nav screen has been mounted front and center, the factory infotainment unit still works as it should. More than just GPS, the touchscreen controls the digital climate and radio functions. It works as it should and the A/C blows cold currently although it likely won't get much use until next Summer. Audio functions are also done through here, and the system is fairly intuitive and works well. Power folding mirrors, power locks, and windows are working, and the driver even has a tilt steering column. Best of all, a power sunroof brings some natural light in the cabin and aids supplemental ventilation. The gray cloth door cards match the upholstery and both are in above average condition. They lack any major rips, stain, or tears and are still soft to the touch. The headliner and carpets look good, and the owner's manuals and OEM floor mats are included in the sale for originality's sake.

Under the hood a newer, lighter, turbo V6 was chosen to replace the last iron lump. This VQ30DET is fresh off an oil and filter service and runs tip-top. The compact engine turns over quickly with the twist of a key, thanks to a new 12V battery. Our techs have also replaced the engine air filter to ensure maximum horsepower and efficiency of this 3.0L mill. An automatic gearbox sends power rearward, and shifts properly, lacking any hesitation or clunking. The acceleration is linear and smooth like you'd expect from a luxury saloon. The factory suspension feels sturdy and well insulated from the road. A factory strut tower brace ties the chassis together and generally, there are few squeaks, rattles, or vibrations on these models. The long wheelbases also assist in returning decent high-speed road dynamics and this Y33 drives especially well on the interstate. The power steering is light, the brakes are confident making this Cedric a good candidate for a daily driver. The five-spoke alloys are all wrapped in new tires and can handle all the weather you can throw at them. The new rubber also quiets the ride down even further, which is tough to imagine.

This clean, low mileage, Gran Turismo is about as fine an example of a Y33 as we have seen. Its cushy cockpit, reliable mechanicals, and understated styling make this a true Japanese Classic you won't want to miss!
