This 1995 Pajero offers up a feature-filled interior with a tough 4x4 system to boot. Finished in a stately Silver/Blue two-tone (H1TF), this diesel-powered rig only has 89K verified miles on the chassis. Accented with OEM rain guards and a polished brush guard with amber pencil lights, the body is in good shape other than some minor scratches and a few light dings. Rolling on new oversized rubber, this legally imported, and freshly serviced seven-seater is a real deal Japanese Classic.

The interior is in really nice shape and was obviously cared for in Japan. Neutral colors and decent materials have also helped this interior age gracefully, and the aesthetic feels newer than say a Nissan Safari for instance. Privacy tint has kept the harmful rays of the sun off the interior surfaces and this has undoubtedly helped to keep the cabin looking fresh. The dash is in good nick, lacking any major cracks or distortion. A functional gauge suite sits atop it and displays a few important vitals. The front captain's chairs are done in a soft gray cloth and are comfortable over long cruises. The driver also has power windows and locks at hand which are both functional, although the power mirrors are not. The dual-zone climate control is digital and the rear seat passengers have their own controls. To open up the interior, a massive panoramic sunroof lets in a ton of natural light. The motor is quite slow at this point, so we would advise keeping it closed or looking into a replacement down the line. The good news is this Mitsu still has its factory rain guards so if you prefer the wind in your hair, the cabin doesn't get too gusty. The headliner is clean as are the door cards and carpet, and this Pajero even has a fold-away third-row option. The rear tailgate swings out wide to reveal a wide loading area that would be a huge benefit at Costco. Lastly, the car comes with its OEM carpet mats and factory manuals for posterity!

The powertrain might not be known for its overwhelming potency, but this '95 does have the most desired and powerful turbodiesel this generation offered. Up from 2.5 to 2.8L, this 4M40 four-banger is fresh off an oil and filter service. The turbodiesel turns over promptly with the twist of the key and revs freely. This Mistubishi utilizes a selective 4WD system that is much more sophisticated than the one Toyota uses and is mated to an automatic transmission. The auto gearbox shifts as it should and the driver can select between 2wd and 4wd on the fly up to 62mph. The suspension is also adjustable and has firm and soft ride settings. It's long-wheelbase makes highway cruising comfortable and the brakes feel confident as well. The power steering is light and easy to articulate and all of the alloy wheels are wrapped in new all-terrain rubber. We even switched out the spare tire for a new unit, just in case. The ride is quieter with the new shoes, and the Pajero can handle sand, snow, and gravel that to all that tread!
