As Honda grew up here in the USA, it saw fit to expand its customer base by creating the luxury brand Acura. While the brand didn't exist in Japan, the vehicles certainly did, and this 1995 Honda Inspire is one of them. Offered with a mere 98K verified miles, and finished in Nighthawk Gray, the body is in good shape other than some minor dings and chips associated with normal use. Recently serviced, and full of power equipment, this distinctive sedan would make a top-notch commuter or daily driver for those who want to drive something that exudes Honda's reliability and efficiency.

The interior is fairly roomy and has held up well over the years. It is obvious that the prior owners in Japan really cared for the cabin, as evidenced by its current state. The dash is in good nick and lacks any major cracks or holes to note. Faux woodgrain breaks up the muted gray interior tones, adding a bit of an upscale aesthetic. The Inspires only modification comes in the form of an updated Kenwood head unit with a touchscreen. It's easy to use and sends clean, crisp tunes through the front-rear speakers. Above that unity is a simple to use, and intuitive digital climate system. The A/C blows cold currently, but if you prefer more natural ventilation, the windows retract downward and the OEM rain guards reduce wind noise in the passenger cell. A power driver's seat is standard, although sometimes it requires a nudge to get moving, and other power equipment includes one-touch windows, power locks, and mirrors. The seats themselves are soft to the touch, and the gray upholstery is replicated in the door cards. None of the seats have any major damage such as rips, stains, or tears. The front buckets and rear bench are comfortable on long cruises and are plenty supportive. The headliner is clean and tightly upholstered to the roof. The carpets are in good shape and the OEM mats and spare key are also included in the sale of this Inspire.

While many components are shared with the USDM Acura TL, the engine is unique to this model. Parts are easy to find, as this mill was installed in USDM Acura Vigor, thus making them relatively inexpensive. The 2.5L five-cylinder is shoehorned longitudinally in the engine bay. Powering the front wheels through an auto gearbox, the G25A has recently benefitted from an oil and filter service so it won't require maintenance for another 3,000 miles. Acceleration is brisk, and this Honda actually has some decent torque to brag about. It gets up to highway speeds without a sweat, and offers a particularly cushy interstate driving experience. The factory suspension still sorts out the bumps well, and the brakes are confident stopping this four-door. The tires have all been replaced with new ones, mounted and balanced by one of our trained technicians. They deliver premium year-round grip and noticeably quiet down the interior NVH levels.
