The Supra was designed as a grand touring car, and the job was perfectly executed by all accounts. The chassis was stable at triple-digit speeds, and the driveline was over-engineered to withstand tolerances much greater than stock. This 1994 slicktop is finished in a classy Super White (040); the body is in good shape other than some minor dings and chips associated with normal use. Offered with only 70K verified miles, this unmolested, twin-turbo coupe is among the best driving and most collectible Japanese Classics ever.

The cabin is in above average condition compared to your normal JDM import, and it's obvious the car was loved in Japan. The cockpit controls and gauges tilt inward to face the driver, to deliver all the proper information as safely as possible. The interior has a way of wrapping around you, making you feel more like a fighter pilot than a driver. The dash is in great shape and features two glove boxes for storage. There is no cracking or sun-related fade and the door cards and headliner are equally as impressive. The front seats are upholstered in gray cloth and are devoid of any major imperfections such as rips, stains, or tears. The rear buckets are small, but in wonderful shape, and are upholstered in black leather. The power-folding mirrors are still functional as are the power locks and windows. Auto climate control is standard and works as it should. The buttons are easy to read and access when on the move. The only cabin upgrade is a more current Carrozarria head unit that pipes some tunes through the speakers. That's not to say the interior is perfect, as there are some light scratches to the interior plastics, but once again, the car is a quarter-century old.

The 3.0L 2ZJ-GTE is the pièce de résistance of the Supra, and it is magnificent in stock form. The thrust is never-ending, and the acceleration simply never faulters. The startup is as simple as a turn of a key and the inline-six whirrs to life with virtually no vibration. Benefitting from a fresh oil service and engine air filter, the Supra requires no scheduled service for another three thousand miles. Power is fed to the rear wheels through an automatic transmission and it shifts without any clunking or hesitation. The suspension takes care of large and small road imperfections and is quieter than most vehicles we offer. The OEM dampers manage to balance ride quality with performance nicely, and the steering is on point and properly weighted. The brakes bite sharply, and the rear has new pads installed by one of our trained technicians. The five-spoke, silver-colored alloys are wrapped in new all-season rubber. They can handle wet and dry well, and provide plenty of grip when necessary. They are also fairly quiet and conform to US DOT standards.

The Supra might be king of the hill when it comes to JDM imports. This clean example would be a great daily driver, investment piece, or weekend toy - it just needs a new garage to call home.
