Looking for a tough, rugged, and reliable Land Cruiser? This 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser KZJ78 checks off all of those boxes, and looks good doing it! Finished in a classic Olive Drab over Matte Black two-tone, the body is in good shape aside from some light dings and scuffs associated with normal use. Set off by a black painted OEM bullbar, 16" bronze alloys, privacy tint, and rear roof ladder, this rig has some serious overlanding appeal. Recently serviced and turn key ready to rock, this Prado would be a killer daily driver, unique family hauler, or fun weekend playtoy.

Inside the spacious cabin, passengers enjoy an abundant amount of head and legroom. The 90's retro-styled upholstery steals the show offering a bright contrast against the charcoal-colored cabin materials. Lacking any major tears or rips the seats are in good nick, up front, and in the rear and are supportive on long drives. Being a 25-year-old vehicle things arent going to be perfect inside, there are some tiny dash cracks to note, and the door cards and plastics in the cargo area in the rear have a few blemishes, too. The headliner is in good shape as well lacking any type of major rips or tears. Adding more flair to the interior is the aftermarket wood steering wheel, which unfortunately does have a chip in it. The driver seat comes with power lumbar support for added comfort, which was uncommon at the time. At arms distance is the functional Pioneer head unit, which is a modern-looking upgrade and is capable of playing some tunes at a moment's notice. Surprisingly, the sound quality is still decent but we still prefer the turbo spool and diesel clatter from the 1K. Keeping everyone cool or warm is the climate control upfront, as well as a set of rear controls for the back passengers. Power windows, mirrors, and electric locks are all in working order making daily use enjoyable.

The 3.0 turbo diesel 1KZTE is strong and responsive, making acceleration a breeze whether attempting to get up to merging speeds on the highway or cruising around city streets. One of Toyota's most reliable and durable motors, the 3.0L is an enthusiast favorite and is fresh off an oil and filter service. Two new 12v batteries were installed by one of our trained techs and ensure this four-banger fires up promptly when asked. Although the miles were unverified the engine pulls hard to redline and has a really broad torque curve. Mated to a smooth-shifting auto gearbox the selective transfercase can be engaged when the weather doesn't want to comply. The hubs can be locked electronically and the rare and desirable rear differential lock is equipped and functions as it should. The suspension is composed and predictable and insulates the cabin from the road noise better than you might expect. The brakes are confident and the power steering is light yet on point. Before the truck was finished on the lift we added four new Falken all-terrain tires. The new rubber looks incredible and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come.
