Toyota, and its stateside subsidiary Lexus, produced some world-class executive sedans during the heart of the 1990s. This 1994 Celsior is considered by many to be the epitome of reliability and build quality for the brand, and we would have to agree. Finished in Diamond White Pearl (051), the body is in good shape aside from some light dings, chips, and scuffs associated with normal use. Offered for sale with a measly 9k verified and documented miles, this air-ride-equipped luxury sedan is amongst the most collectible examples we have imported. Recently serviced and legally imported, this refined and stately five-seater would make for a killer weekend car, collector piece, or daily driver. No matter what the next chapter holds, this timeless saloon is a Japanese Classic!

The quality of the materials sourced for the Celsior is second to none. For the redesigned models such as this one, more safety equipment, and space were included for those aboard. Overall the cabin is spacious, well-appointed, and in above average shape overall. Power options are everywhere, from the tilting and telescoping steering column to the seatbelt adjusters. Power windows, locks, and electric folding mirrors all work as advertised and make daily use convenient. The A/C blows cold and is automatic as well as dual-zone. We have replaced the old cabin air filter with a brand new one to filter the cabin air efficiently. While the center display screen no longer functions, the audio does function otherwise. The carpets and headliner look good and the seats are power-adjustable and plenty supportive. They are soft to the touch and lack any major rips, stains, or tears. Despite some sun fading are just as they left the factory and are durable to boot. Even the owner's manual is still sitting in the glove box and the center console and trunk have plenty of additional storage space if needed.

The driveline is stout, sturdy, and refined. For the UCF21, the Celsior's second generation, the 1UZ-FE was reworked to be lighter and more powerful. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the V8 whirrs to life. A new 12v battery should last for another few years to come and provide all the CCA's necessary to churn over the 4.0L in the dead of winter. The engine runs nearly vibration-free and is connected to a slick-shifting automatic gearbox. Acceleration is impressive despite the hefty curb weight and sustained highway cruising is as comfortable as it gets. Little wind or road noise enters the cabin and a set of new tires quiet down the ride even more. The OEM air suspension is height adjustable and sorts out large and small road imperfections alike. The steering is light and easy to articulate and the brakes have received a fluid flush to improve the pedal feel. We even put a new spare tire on the Celsior prior to its Virginia state safety inspections and she is turn-key ready to rock for the next owner.
