Nissan's fabled S chassis has stood the test of time. Whether you prefer the angular lines of the S13 or the more flowing look of the S14, the one thing we can all agree on is a proper turbocharged, RWD, 5 Speed. Our all OEM 1994 K's comes in checking all of the right boxes. Anybody who's familiar with this platform knows just how hard it is to find a clean, unmodified example these days. Clocking in at 130K verified miles you can tell this car has been well maintained. With it's Super Black (KH3) paint gleaming the way it does you'd never guess that it's a 25 year old car. Like any car there are some flaws in the paint and some routine stone chips, but overall nothing of concern. The same can be said about the stock body as there are only a few errant door dings to be found. The factory aero always looks good on these, and possibly the first S14 we've come across with the factory optioned parking pole. Typically those are only found on the big body sedans.

The overall condition of the interior is fantastic. For instance, the dash has been kept crack free and shows no signs of sun damage unlike just about ever S13 on the road today. Other typically high wear items like the steering wheel and shift knob look nearly the same as when they left the factory. The only real issue inside is the driver's seat. It's evident in all of the photos that it has seen better days. Otherwise, the passenger and rear seats look great and have been kept stain and tear-free. The revised interior of the S14 feels more spacious and comfortable than the 13, while being nearly the same size. Of course, these had all of the modern features of the time like power windows, door locks, mirrors, and even automatic digital climate control. Everything is working as expected, the only thing lacking is the power folding function. The only aftermarket item is the Carrozzerria 1.5 din which does work, however, like all JDM models have limited use stateside.

Under the hood is what made these cars such a legend, the SR20DET. The turbocharged 4 cylinder has become one of the most popular motor swap options to come out of Japan. With it's stellar power to weight ratio there's no wonder as to why. Lucky for us, being a proper Silvia and not a 240SX means that you get the right motor out of the box. No worries about somebody's shoddy craftsmanship janky wiring or janky wiring. In stock trim, these motors are no slouch, and with a few simple bolt-ons will take it to a whole other level. The power comes on quickly as the turbo spools, making the high revving nature of these a blast. Mated to a proper 5-speed manual, rowing through the gears is the only way to really enjoy all of Nissan's efforts. The transmission shifts with ease and the clutch is rather forgiving. The stock suspension is well sorted since these are such lightweight cars, giving you plenty of control at all times. To get this gem in tip-top shape our techs have taken care of the routine service work; new tires all around, fresh shocks outback, a replacement bellow boot, and a routine oil change. Mechanically simple to work on, with parts readily available, what's not to love about the S14? This would make a great daily for someone looking to stand out in a sea of 240's. After all, the S chassis is the best chassis.
