What's not to love about a clean S14? Long flowing bodywork, a proper RWD, 3 pedal, turbo, sports coupe. Our 1994 has had several key upgrades done in order to take a good chassis and make it great. Building upon the factory lines a full Instant Gentleman style body kit was fitted. The FRP kit definitely gives the car the lower look that it should have had from the factory. To build upon that Tein coilovers helped to reduce some of the wheel gap as well as increasing handling characteristics. For an OEM+ look a set of chrome 18" 350Z wheels replace the stock 16's. The kit fits well, however like all aftermarket kits it's never as perfect as factory. There is some spider webbing below the paint and some wear along the tops of the side skirts from the door rubbing when closing (which can be seen in the pictures.) The color matches up well as I would assume the entire vehicle was resprayed in Super Black when the color was swapped. From the factory this was a Blue Emerald Green (FN2) car which can be seen in the trunk. Luckily from the factory the engine bay comes black and the jambs were painted to match. Overall the paint looks great, and black is always a good color on the S14. The body shows well, free of any notable dents or dings.

The interior remains largely stock and in good condition. The factory seats are very comfortable, yet offer good side bolstering. Both the driver and passenger seats show exceptionally well, free of any routine staining or tears. Like all coupes, the rear seats look hardly ever used. The carpeting and door panels have been kept up to the same standards. A 3 spoke Momo Race wheel replaces the bulky stock one, however it does show it's age a bit. The shift knob was replaced with a billet Razo knob which is great since it doesn't show wear as much and it fits the hand fantastically. Mounted atop the steering column is a HKS EVC which has an extremely crisp display of several key vitals along with it's intended boost control. Behind that is a Yashio Factory digital coolant temp gauge since the factory one leaves a bit to be desired. The stock digital climate control is a nice upgraded from the S13's one as it's a bit more cleanly integrated into the dash. It is functioning properly along with all of the other power accessories (windows, mirrors, locks.) As S chassis are known for dash cracks this one did fall victim to it as well. Luckily the split is atop the gauge cluster so it's largely out of the driver's field of view.

We all know what sets this car apart from it's USDM counterpart, the SR20DET. The two liter four banger is know it's power potential. In stock trim these motors are no slouch, and with a few simple bolt ons it really comes to life. A Blitz intake makes the turbo known inside the cabin. And to ensure plenty of cool air a massive HKS front mount intercooler fills the front bumper. Since stock trim is far too quiet for a car like this, a Fujitsubo catback really wakes things up. Out of the gate these cars are quick, the turbo spools up low down in the RPM range and pulls hard to the 7K redline. Mated to a proper 5 speed manual, rowing through the gears is a blast. The transmission shifts with ease and the clutch is pretty forgiving. The Tein coilovers ride well, however like any set of coilovers they are more stiff than factory. To help tie up the front end a Cusco strut tower brace was fitted as well. With only 54K verified miles this car is really going to make someone's day. Great daily drivers since parts are so readily available, and the sky is the limit when it comes to modifying down the road. The way it sits you already have a great platform to start from or simply leave it as is. Since our techs have gone over the vehicle it's turn key ready. Two new tires were fitted up front, a fresh set of plugs, and a routine oil change so it's ready to go. The S14 really is a jack of all trades.
