Nissan Skyline is a timeless design, and the R33 generation is simply a wonderful car to drive. The upgraded interior materials and stouter, more powerful driveline pay dividends when you actually own one, and this 1994 is a prime example. Finished in a classy Super Clear Red (AN0) this coupe is being offered with only 84K verified miles. The body is in good shape with only a few minor scuffs, dings and dents from normal use. Many enthusiasts in the market will appreciate the originality of this car and the unmolested nature of this two-door, with its factory five-speed manual gearbox and RB25DET, is prized.

The interior was a big improvement over the R32. The cockpit feels much larger, and that is thanks in part to a functional OEM sunroof. Beyond tilting and retracting it adds some much needed natural light and ventilation to the cabin. The only upgrades are a Personal leather-wrapped smaller diameter steering wheel and a NISMO style shift knob. The dash is in good shape and devoid of any cracks or major blemishes. The headliner and door cards are good as well, and a functional factory audio system powers the speakers. High-quality plastics were never Nissan's strong suit and this coupe does have some common wear issues with those. For instance, the climate vents warp around the dash and don't fit as they once did, and the driver side door plastic has a crack on the armrest. Digital climate control is standard, and the A/C blows cold and the defrost function is nearly instant! The driver's side bucket also shows some accelerated bolster wear, but once again, this is nearly a three-decade-old vehicle. The rear bench and passenger bucket are in above average shape and don't suffer from any major rips stains or tears. Long road trips can be undertaken in comfort as the R33 has much lower noise, vibration, and harshness characteristics that plague the R32 chassis. The carpets are in good shape and are colored deep charcoal and match the rest of the interior.

Mechanically, the improved chassis rigidity and half-liter increase in displacement make a world of difference. The 2498cc turbocharged and intercooler straight-six makes considerably more torque and power than the RB20DET. With the twist of a key, the engine fires up and sets into a near vibration-free idle. A fresh 12V battery has been installed by one of our technicians to ensure startup in the coldest of winter snaps for the next four years. Additionally, a semi-synthetic oil and filter service has been performed as well so no scheduled service is needed for another three-thousand mile. Acceleration is brisk and the transmissions shifts through all five forward gears without a hitch or grind. The brakes feel strong, and the excellent weight distribution allows the R33 to squat rather than dive when the middle pedal is depressed with some urgency. Two new rear struts freshen the suspension, and the ground clearance makes more carefree cruising without having to worry about potholes and speedbumps. The five-spoke factory alloys have tires with good tread and large sidewalls which make ride quality even more premium.

This R33 is a fantastic platform to daily drive or modify for performance use. Its upgrades are noticeable over its predecessor and it seems to be one of the best performance buys in our portfolio at this point. A true sports car, with an impressive turbo six and straight drive, makes this Japanese Classic hard to beat!
