There is something to be said about clean, unmodified, vehicles these days. With the rising popularity of the S13 it's nearly impossible these days to find one that's been left untouched. This 1992 comes in with a verified 108K miles and has been kept all stock. To add a little cherry on top this 180SX was finished in Nissan's classic Pearl White (WK0) which is one of the best factory color options. The paint shows exceptionally well for its age with a great luster. The body is in equally good shape and appears to have been well preserved over the years. All of the gaps line up as they should and makes for a very clean factory look. Of course, with any car that's been on the road, it does have some routine little door dings and stone chips, but nothing out of the ordinary to report.

The straight forward S13 interior wasn't known for its quality materials, however, this one has faired pretty well. The cockpit of this hatchback model is in good shape overall and only has a couple of small changes from the factory. Most notably the period-correct Recaro which is just as unique as it is comfortable. Frankly, the stock seats leave a bit to be desired, but this one really picks up the slack. The passenger and rear seats are both still equally clean and show little signs of wear. The door cards and front carpets are in fine shape. The rear seats hardly look like they have been used. As with all S chassis the dash does have it's standard cracks, however, to clean things up a Shevron dash mat was fitted. The mat obviously covers up the issue, but it also does bring a nice look to the interior as the stock dash is really just a sea of plastic. The ergonomics are great though! The driver controls are all at arms reach, and the 180 has functioning power locks, folding powered mirrors, windows, and digital automatic climate control.

Pop the hood and you'll find the legendary SR20DET. The Aluminum 2.0 liter has become an icon in the S Chassis world. Unlike all of the USDM models that have to undergo a transplant, the JDM spec vehicles came from the factory with the proper motor choice. Thanks to a fesh set of plugs and a new air filter the two liter fires right up and is surprisingly quiet in stock trim. With the enormous amount of aftermarket support for the S13 you can easily change that out if you're looking for a deeper tone. The 5-speed shifts with ease and the clutch is very forgiving, it is communicative and nicely gated. The ride quality isn't harsh like most s chassis vehicles, as the suspension is OEM and unmolested. New rubber has been put on all four corners keeps the nimble two-door balanced even in bad weather. Between the stylish good looks and rewarding drive, it's tough to match the S13's value. With clean, good running examples becoming more difficult to find every day, this 180SX is a bonafide Japanese Classic.
