1994 Nissan Cima VIP
The Nissan Cima, is a vehicle with show stopping visual appeal, and an affordable entry price. This 1994 example, with only 51K original miles is in fantastic shape. Finished in Nissan's beautiful Black Emerald Pearl, the subtle color is an ode to how a proper luxury sedan should look. The deep lustrous paint really works with the chrome trim, and it pops in person. It even has an original set of rain guards and carpet mats which are still in great shape, and a clear sign of its prior ownership history. The body itself is very straight and free of severe dents or scrapes, as the car has been well cared for in a prior life. A set of adjustable JIC coilovers lowers the vehicles ride height and reduces fender gap. The sexy profile is further set off by a set of black and chrome machined 18" AME wheels.
The interior has been kept up just as well as you would anticipate for 51K miles. All of the seats are in great shape and show very minimal signs of wear, however, Clazzio leather seat covers have been affixed over top for a more premium look. The same can be said about the carpets and headliners with no major rips or stains. As with any proper luxury sedan the interior is where it really shines. The fit and finish is much better than a normal economy car. Fitted with all of the best features '94 had to offer, including automatic climate control, full power seats, power mirrors, and adjustable interior lighting to name a few. Since these were designed for you to be chauffeured about, the rear seats are power reclining along with full controls for the climate control. There were controls for the radio however this one has been upgraded to a newer unit, featuring CD, radio, and Aux capabilities. This vehicles options and appointments will definitely make you're next road trip exponentially more pleasant.
Mechanically this Cima remains untouched. The VG30DET fires right up and offers up plenty of power to get you down the road. It idles nicely and smoothly delivers power through the automatic transmission. The VG turbo indeed has a neat sound, and the subtle exhaust note combines with some turbo flutter from an Apex'i intake. The transmission shifts in and out of gear very quietly and smoothly shifts through all the gears. Versus the V8 model, this drive train does deliver significantly better fuel economy, and parts are readily available stateside for maintenance. It even has selectable shift modes for power and snow. The suspension feels great over bumps, and the long wheel base is the reason for such a nice freeway ride. The brakes stop the car easily, and the pedal feel is light, as is the steering. The car also has a great turning radius, and the power steering feels nice and strong. All season rubber is fitted, and the car can handle unpleasant weather if need be.
A class act VIP car can also be a daily driver, and this Cima proves it. This sleek sedan can deliver the looks of a show winner, and deliver a low cost and reliable ownership experience. Get your turn-key, JDM Nissan while it still lasts!
