The drivetrain is simple, sturdy, and built to last. Fresh off an oil and filter service this 4.2L 1HD-T turbodiesel turns over quickly with the twist of the key. You can rest assured that during the few cold days left of winter she won't leave you stranded, as we have replaced both 12V batteries. The diesel sounds fantastic thanks to a pricey Ganador polished exhaust system. The engine feels refined and makes prodigious amounts of low-end torque. Mated to an automatic gearbox, this massive truck accelerates adequately and is geared properly for US interstates. Shifts are smooth and occur without any clunking or hesitation. The four-wheel-drive system is full-time and includes a selective transfer case with a low gear range. If the muck is intolerable and giving you fits, front limited-slip differentials are included and the center differential can be locked by depressing a dash-mounted button. Rancho shocks give this rig a decent ride quality and it can withstand the rigors of daily use without an issue. Large and small bumps are gobbled up by the suspension with much confidence. The brakes are happy to stop this 5,000+ pound rig, and the aftermarket alloys are all wrapped in new all-terrain tires. This rubber will last for years to come and ensure the proper grip even in less than ideal situations.
