Stock #6129Simply put, Toyota's 80 series Land Cruiser is everything a great truck should be. It utilizes a durable body-on-frame construction, the full-time 4WD can traverse tough terrain, and it has plenty of interior space and amenities to make your interior occupants happy. Our 1994 FZJ80 is a great example of the chassis and shows a mere 105k miles from daily use. Finished in a one-off Yamato Grey, the exterior is all-business, and is set off by OEM rainguards and a choice set of 16" Hilux Surf alloys shod in Falken All Terrains. Sure the gunmetal paint has a few swirls and scratches from daily use but overall the cosmetics aren't too worse for the wear. Toyota enthusiasts and off-road buffs alike swear by the 80 series, and we just think it does the job at being a terrific Japanese Classic!Much like the exterior, the interior of this FZJ80 gets pretty much everything right. It's not overcomplicated, difficult to navigate, or flimsy in design. Instead occupants should find the grey suede seats comfortable, and this three decade old upholstery was clearly well cared for in a prior life. The dash has developed a spot of damage atop the gauge hood from daily use, and we've obscured it with a fitted Shevron dash mat to protect the vinyl from the harsh rays of the sun. Real wood 4x4 Engineering accents span the cockpit, and dual zone climate control is on hand, with Cold A/C and hot heat available to supply to front and rear occupants. An adjacent Alpine audio system features upgraded door speakers although the period-correct head unit seems to be finicky in operation. All four power windows slide up and down with ease, and the power locks and mirrors do too. To funnel some more ventilation in the cabin, an expansive power moonroof also retracts. The door cards, headliner, and carpet beneath are all tight and tidy, and the rear bench has plenty of room to squeeze in your additional occupants. In fact, we can't find much else to scrutinize about this interior aside from some missing door speaker covers and wear and fade on the Nardi steering wheel and OEM cool box trim. We even retained the factory owner's manual to add to your personal collection! The 1FZ-FE under the bonnet makes this Cruiser near identical to our stateside examples and parts availability and modification options are abundant! Ours is fresh off a recent service in-house, and our trained technicians started off by replacing the 12v battery with a new one to aid ignition. From there, an oil and filter service was performed, and we knocked out a new fuel filter to keep contaminants out of your petrol. A new valve cover gasket seals this 4.5 up top and this cruiser drives like a dream. Full-time 4WD is at the ready for any trips to the beach or trails, the long wheelbase assists on highway cruises, and we replaced the swaybar bushings in the rear to aid handling. New brake pads were installed up from and this behemoth stops on a dime. For extra assistance during excursions off the beaten path, we went ahead and wrapped the refinished alloys in new Falken Wildpeaks. The fresh rolling stock looks good, drives comfortably, and should deliver tens of thousands of miles of grip for your driving pleasure!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
