Toyota likely had no idea how iconic the completely redesigned Toyota Supra would be when it was released in April 1993, exactly 25 years ago. The JZA80 chassis is one of the most recognizable and sought after Japanese muscle cars from the early 90's and there's good reason for it. The design is simply beautiful, the power plant is unstoppable, and it's use in cult classic movies like the Fast and Furious franchise made the Supra a household name. This early production example is in amazing condition and while it is an SZ the market for both the RZ and SZ shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. The exterior on this JZA80 remains completely stock and unmodified. The Alpine Silver Metalic paint (199) is in beautiful condition with no notable issues. The body is very straight with no notable dings or dents. The headlights are also in excellent condition with no yellowing which is a typical issue on the A80 Supra's.Moving inside you'll find some light modifications including a Nardi steering wheel and a pair of black Recaro SR3 "confetti" seats have been added to keep both the driver and passenger planted and comfortable during spirited driving. Otherwise the interior remains OEM. We will be replacing a few of the interior panels (shifter trim, radio trim, upper glow box door) with brand new OEM Toyoa pieces as the rubberized coating has worn which is a very common issue on the JZA80 supra. We have ordered these parts directly from Toyota Japan and will be installing them prior to sale. The dash is in excellent condition with no sun damage and the door panels and carpet are also in fantastic condition for a 25 year old Supra.The 2JZ-GE engine has just received a tune up after arriving to the U.S. on April 1st. This included new spark plus, new spark plug wires, new distributor cap and rotor. It starts quickly and idles beautifully. The engine tone sounds excellent thanks to a HKS Hi-Power catback. With only 62k original miles this Supra SZ runs and drives very well. The 5 speed transmission shifts smoothly through all gears and the oem clutch has been swapped for an OS Giken STR twin plate model which seems to be in excellent condition with no signs of slipping. It has also passed our mechanical inspection with flying colors as all maintenance items have been taken care of.
