One of the most underrated chassis out there, the JZX90 is an absolute blast to drive. We just got in this 1993 Mark II Tourer V with only 60K original miles. The exterior has been kept mostly all original with simply a set of awesome RAYS Park Place wheels. Fitted with the rare OEM front lip, which is in great condition, really helps to give an aggressive look. The rear windows have been tinted for privacy and look great. Both the paint and body are in very good condition and the Black Metallic looks very sharp on the Mark II. There is no major damage, dents or dings on the body and the paint shines beautifully.
The interior has been kept mostly all stock as well. A few choice upgrades include the wood grain Altezza Disegno wheel and a Blitz boost gauge. The OEM seats are comfortable and supportive and are free of any rips or tears. The driver side bolster does show some signs of wear from getting in and out but nothing serious. The rest of the interior is in equally nice shape. The dash is in fantastic condition with no cracks or sun damage and the door panels are very clean with very minimal wear. The carpets and headliner and free of any noticeable stains or wear. All of the power accessories function as they should, including the power sunroof. The automatic climate control is great with cold A/C.
The heart of the JZX90 is the powerful twin turbo 1JZ-GTE. The motor fires right up and has a nice quiet idle. Naturally that can be corrected for those looking to make this family sedan a little less of a sleeper. The drivetrain has been kept all stock but the aftermarket is very strong for these as they're one of the most popular drift platforms in Japan. Power is delivered smoothly and pulls like a freight train to the 7K redline. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly under load and engages without any hesitation. The suspension has a great blend of comfort when cruising but feels well planted in the bends. And naturally with the RWD setup it doesn't take much effort to flick it sideways. This car is perfect for the enthusiast who isn't looking to compromise in practicality. This is truly a Supra in sheep's clothing.
