No question one of the most popular chassis made by Nissan, we just got this 1992 180SX. Anybody who has been in the market for one of these recently knows how hard it is to find an original, unmolested, S chassis. This one only has 68K original miles and has been kept nearly all original. Finished in Super Black (KH3) it looks great! The paint has a deep shine and is mostly blemish free. The body is straight and free of any major dents. There are some door dings present but nothing that chipped the paint, so PDR would be an option. The optional OEM sideskirts and rear splash guards make for a subtle touch to the side profile. For those thinking about using this as a starting point for a build, this is a desirable non sunroof car.

The interior has been kept nearly as original as the exterior has been. The first thing you'll notice when climbing into the driver seat is the Greddy boost gauge staring back at you. Currently it's mounted to the top of the steering column but could easily be relocated to the dash or A-pillar. Mounted to the side of the transmission tunnel (on the driver's side) is an Ultra turbo timer. A JVC 1.5 Din with tape and CD is also functioning as it should so you don't have to replace the radio. Fitted with automatic climate control, the A/C blows nice and cold. Even the power accessories like one touch driver side window and power mirrors are all operating like normal. Unfortunately just like every other Silvia out there, this one does have the cracked dash. The rest of the interior has been very well maintained. The front seats are free of any major rips or tears and the rears appear to have hardly even been used. The same can be said about the doors and the carpet with no notable issues to either.

Equipped with the legendary SR20DET makes the 180SX nothing short of a blast to drive. The 4 cylinder fires right up with a smooth idle. The factory exhaust is quiet for those looking for a comfortable daily driver, but that can easily be changed. The SR20 is one of the most popular motors out there so the aftermarket support is abundant. Everything under the hood is still factory original and is very clean. A set of adjustable shocks has been installed along with a very slight drop spring. The ride has not been compromised by this as it still cruises down the highway comfortably. The 5 speeds shifts smoothly and without and sort of binding or grinds. Power comes on strong when the turbo spools and pulls hard all the way to 7,500RPM. Between it's light weight and plenty of power on hand it's no wonder the S chassis has become such a popular car. This is one clean example that would make for a great build candidate or a particularly fun daily driver.
