1993 Toyota Celsior Type C
Available for: $8,495
Available for sale in the United States, this 1993 Toyota Celsior showcases the most luxurious and capable sedan the Japanese had ever produced at that time. Tackling the likes of Mercedes and BMW, Toyota managed to craft a vehicle rivaling the S class and 740Li level of refinement, with much more reliability; likely the reason why so many Celsiors lasted the test of time.
This 1993 model's exterior is finished in Toyota's optional Black Jade Metallic, and the interior is accented with wood and grey cloth. The exterior has been kept in fantastic condition. The paint is beautiful and has a deep luster and gloss. The body is extremely straight with no major dings, dents, or scratches. The silver alloy wheels compliment the overall look of the car, and the large sidewall tires, completely insulate the driver from the hard bumps and harsh rattles of our sub par US roads.
The interior has been kept in just as great of shape as the exterior has. The cloth seats are in exceptional shape, supportive, and plush with very minimal signs of use. Being a proper 90's luxury sedan all of the accessories are power. Memory seats, cruise control, automatic climate control, power folding mirrors, windows, even the seat belt height adjustment. The automatic climate control functions as it should with cold A/C however the pixel gauge faces have gone out. It's a relatively common issue with these and has no effect on it's actual functionality.
Mechanically this Celsior is just as clean as the rest of the car. The 1UZ-FE fires right up and purrs beautifully. The automatic transmission is equally quiet; shifting in and out of gear without any hesitation or grinding. The 250 horsepower V8 whirrs quickly gets you up to speed, with virtually no vibration, and makes for a phenomenal highway cruiser. Coupled with the adjustable air suspension it's one of the most comfortable rides on the road. The gauge cluster was dealership replaced several years back so the mileage is considered unverified. The records that we were provided to us indicated the the car currently has 42K miles which we see no reason to doubt based on it's overall condition. With technology that's still relevant today, mated with it's exceptional ride, you really can't find a better cruising car on the market.
