There is something to be said about clean, unmodified, vehicles these days. With the S13s already outlandish popularity, it's nearly impossible these days to find one that's been left untouched. This 1993 comes in with a verified 90K miles and has been kept nearly all stock. We say nearly as it does have a sportier steering wheel in place of the original. Otherwise, you really can't get much more OEM than this. Finished in Nissan's classic Super Black (KH3) you know its a look that will never grow old. The paint and clearcoat look great for the age, especially when it comes to being a black car which traditionally shows every little blemish. While there are some light swirl marks in the clear and a few stone chips, for the most part, the paint looks fantastic. The body speaks the same language with only a few typical door dings. All of the gaps line up as they should and makes for a very clean factory look that really needs no help.

The interior tells the same story that the body does, and it has been kept all original. The grey cloth seats are in excellent condition, free of any notable stains or wear. Normally we see some excessive wear along the bolsters and spots like that, but much to our surprise the stock seats are looking great for their age. There is a small spot of accelerated wear on the driver's edge, but nothing particularly concerning. While the steering wheel is aftermarket, it does look considerably better than the stock one did. The carpets and headliner all have weathered the years well. The only two spots that need to be noted is the bit of delamination along the passenger door card and one crack atop the dash. Those familiar know these are common issues with the S chassis, but we do have one crack along the right side of the cluster. Luckily the placement means that it's hardly noticeable which is why we wanted to make a note of it. Fitted with all of the power accessories of the day; power windows, mirrors, automatic climate control, and even the original radio with everything is functioning as it should. While these weren't designed to be the most luxurious cockpits in the linup they offer all of the conveniences you'd want on your daily commute without feeling cheap.

Pop the hood and you'll find the iconic SR20DET. The Aluminum 2.0 liter has become an icon in the S Chassis world. Unlike all of the USDM models that have to undergo a transplant, the JDM spec vehicles came from the factory with the proper motor choice. The two-liter fires right up and is surprisingly quiet in stock trim. The engine bay is just as clean and OEM and the rest of the car which is a rarity these days. Since this platform is so versatile finding one that hasn't been modified and beat on over the years is refreshing. The automatic transmission shifts properly and does a great job of providing a quick response. While many mock the autos they're no slouch. The fact that you never have a loss in boost pressure makes them quicker than their manual cohorts. The power is seamlessly delivered out back to the proper wheels making it a blast when you get out onto a twisty backroad. The factory suspension is more than capable to keep the lightweight coupe in check. Due to having been so well maintained it arrived with us only needing some routine items. A new air filter, battery, oil change and a fresh set of tires for the normal services. We also replaced the inner and outer tie rods along with the bellow boots, the serpentine belts, and the struts. Now that we have everything refreshed the 180 is in great shape for someone to cruise back home in. With its iconic lines that have never gone out of style, a legendary motor, and drive that backs it all up; the S13 truly has stood the test of time.
