1993 Nissan R32 GTS-t
Available for: $27,795
Nissan's fun and balanced R32 platforms feature eye-catching styling, top-tier driving dynamics, and a stellar turbocharged six-cylinder powerplant. Finished in Black Pearl Metallic (732) this 1993 GTS-t example is offered with an incredibly low 54k verified and documented miles. Set off by a set of OEM mesh alloys and the optional OEM side skirts and rear spats, the body and paint are in good nick aside from the usual dings and chips associated with normal use. Prior repairs in Japan include a replacement hood. Boasting a few performance upgrades and a slate of recent service, this zingy sports car is turn-key ready to rock. For those wanting to drive and own the legend, this R32 should fit the bill and is a certified Japanese Classic.
The cabin is nicely appointed and is in good shape for an R32. This one includes electric windows, door locks, and power-folding mirrors to make daily use enjoyable. An alpine head unit upgrade was done in Japan at some point and is functional. The headliner and carpets have resisted major abuse although there is some slight separation on the top of the driver's side door cards. The dash also has the typical distortion, but no cracks are present. The blue and gray cloth upholstery is still soft to the touch and is in above-average condition. It lacks any major rips, stains, or tears and is bolstered well for long cruises. That not to say the cabin is perfect as the A/C doesn't blow cold, but the compressor can be replaced to fix the issue. Still at 25 years old it's remarkable how well the cabin has been kept and the next owner should like it, too!
We love this chassis because it features near 50/50 weight distribution and a lovely, silky smooth RB engine. Fresh off an oil and filter service the 2.0L starts up promptly thanks to a new 12v battery. It operates with hardly a vibration and benefits from a new fuel filter, spark plugs, and we have even taken care of the costly timing belt and water pump service. This should give the next owner some peace of mind and save a few shekels down the line! The ECU was also professionally rebuilt and includes a lifetime warranty. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. Shifts occur without a hitch or grind and it's fun to run this Type M through the gears. Acceleration is impressive for a vehicle of this age and the gearing is such that its sustained highway cruising isn't stressful. The suspension has received a bit of a refresh from one of our trained techs. New front struts improve the ride quality and new front upper control arms have been installed too. These items, combined with the Bilstein dampers and aftermarket front strut tower brace deliver on a predictable ride. The brakes are confident and the power steering is light. Lastly, we installed four new tires at all four corners. The new rubber quiets down the road noise and will deliver tens of thousands of miles of year-round grip to come.
