The Pajero is an incredible value, offering plenty of space, all-weather capability, and hallmark reliability. This 1993 turbodiesel example is a classic-looking JDM SUV and is finished in Spring Silver Metallic (H81) over Hannover Green (G31). Set off by a set of OEM rainguards, the body and paint are in good nick aside from some light dings, scuffs, and chips associated with normal use. Recently serviced, this 103k verified and documented mile example is only just barely broken in. As a winter hauler, trail rig, or unique daily driver this midsize Mitsubishi would be the ideal Japanese Classic SUV on the cheap. 

The spacious cabin is capable of seating seven comfortably thanks to the desirable third-row option. As such road trips or weekend getaways with family or friends is no problem. While the interior isn't perfect it's in fine condition overall. The dash is in generally good condition with no major cracks, however, there are a few pinholes from something being mounted to it in the past and some lifting around the screen area. The screen mounted front and center is an aftermarket Carrozerria head unit, but sadly it is not functioning, and the next owner will want to install a US-spec radio for some tunes. It is sitting where the OEM field monitor used to be mounted and could serve as a nav screen if your new head unit has the capability. Inviting all passengers inside is the very comfortable upholstered cloth seating which is in good nick lacking any major rips, tears, or stains. The front and rear seats don't match exactly, but it's hard to notice at first glance. The headliner is in similar condition with no sagging and only minor marks from normal use over the years. The driver has plenty of power options for ease of use, at their fingertips, including power windows, power locks, and power mirrors all of which are functional, although the power-folding mirror feature is not functional. Additionally, the massive rear sunroof provides plenty of natural light inside the cabin however, the motor is inop so it no longer opens. An easy-to-use climate control is centrally located and proves quick and easy temperature adjustment, that being said the A/C is currently not blowing cold. Middle row passengers also have access to the climate controls from the back of the center armrest. Storage space is plentiful in the Pajero when the third row is stowed but when cargo space is needed the third folds ups and out of the way. The middle row folds down, providing an enormous amount of space if you want to catch a nap!

Powering the rear wheels is Mitsubishi's reliable 2.8L turbo diesel 4M40. Its mated to a smooth-shifting automatic transmission and selective 4WD transfer case. Going from RWD to 4WD is quick, easy, and seamless and can be done while in motion, at speeds up to 62 MPH. Thanks to a new 12V battery, fresh oil and filter service, and new serpentine belts the 4M40 is up to date on necessary maintenance. Easily capable of getting up to merging speeds on the highway and maintaining high speeds for long periods of time, this Pajero is perfect for long trips or weekend getaways. Equally doable is daily driving or even light trail use and this SUV has a wold class 4WD system. The OEM suspension makes sure the ride is always comfortable and handles bumps both large and small with ease. The steering is light yet confident and makes city parking a snap. If the weather gets treacherous, 4WD-low can be selected along with the optional center locker, allowing those behind the wheel to traverse less than ideal road conditions. The braking is responsive being the SUV to a stop confidently. We also installed new Falken 31" rubber at all four corners. These look killer and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come. We even did the spare tire to boot!
