The FD RX7 is hands down one of the best looking cars Mazda ever produced. Personally I feel this 1993 is finished in the best color they offered, Montego Blue Mica (M8). There's no doubt that this car turns heads wherever it goes. With only 57K miles it has been excellently maintained. The paint looks fantastic and has a bit of a color changing effect depending on the lighting. The paint has a deep luster and is free of any notable blemishes. The body has been kept in much of the same condition with only minor dents or dings to be found. The exterior has been kept mostly all factory but with a few choice upgrades. Up front there are a small set of amber Catz foglights that match the corner markings and really pop against the Montego Blue. The original chin spoiler was replaced with the later model Spirit R style spoiler and it looks killer. It's a very subtle change from the earlier model ones but it really does make a big impact. A staggered set of 17" bronze CST (Circuit Special Tune) Zero 1 Hyper wheels were added and they really do compliment well. Paired up with a set of Zeal coilovers it really has this thing sitting right.

The interior has been kept mostly original with a few simple additions. The Nardi 3 spoke wheel with the brushed satin finish is an instant classic. A matching, weighted, Pivot Super Quick Shift Knob was also added and it feels great rowing through the 5 speed. Electronics are handled by Apexi with the addition of a Power FC Commander and turbo timer. The center console has been wrapped in carbon fiber vinyl to break things up a bit. I'm sure this could be removed if you weren't a fan of the look. The flip up storage compartment on the driver side has also been wrapped but is beginning to peel a bit on the edge. It feels as if it may be cracked, however it is functioning as it should. The rest of the interior is in fantastic shape with no notable stains on either seat. The driver side bolster does have a little wear from climbing in and out which has cause a small tear (roughly two inches.) Otherwise everything is in great shape and functioning as it should; the power mirrors, windows, and door locks. The A/C is functioning and blowing cold.

Mechanically this car is in great shape and has some quality additions to back up the looks. To help the 13B-REW breathe a little better it's been fitted with a HKS RS intake system. The HKS hardpipe and intake elbow look right at home next to the intake. And the R1 strut bar looks awesome perched on top. Out back is a Mazdaspeed catback which has a great tone to it. Since it's a factory accessory it's not excessively loud on startup or under load. The 13B fires right up and has the nice traditional rotary idle. Power really comes on strong, the power adders are definitely noticeable on this one. The suspension is stiff, as expected with any set of coilovers, but doesn't make for an unbearable ride. All in all this is one well put together FD. Between it's power delivery and handling Mazda really knocked this one out of the park.
