Toyota's 80 series Land Cruiser came from the factory as a rugged yes refined transporter. Spacious, and built to last the test of time, these sizable beasts make wonderful year-round daily drivers. Japanese Classics is excited to offer this 1993 Land Cruiser, refinished in a one-off Black Metallic from the factory Emerald Green. The body has held up well through the years and looks great in person aside from some minor blemishes from typical road use. Packing a powerful engine and some impressive creature comforts, this capable five-seater outperforms the gasoline version of this car sold stateside in terms of efficiency and performance. Recently serviced, this turbodiesel rig is offered with a mere 157k verified and documented miles, and is a turn-key JDM SUV ready for your next adventure!

The cabin utilized a clean design that lacks the multitude of buttons and screens associated with new trucks sold in 2021. The seats are upholstered in a soft gray cloth which has held up well over time. The upholstery lacks any major rips, stains or tears and are in good shape overall as are the door cards. The factory steering wheel was ditched at some point for a MOMO example for better grip. Its subtly spices up the interior while still maintaining that upscale feel associated with this platform. A Carrozzeria head unit was installed and is fully operable for some tunes on the go if you want to jam out. The automatic climate control blows cold A/C, and the heat is piping hot just in time for the winter season. The headliner is in great shape with no stains to note, and the power sunroof is fully functional. It makes the cabin feel larger, providing an abundance of natural light and additional ventilation when called upon. The carpets haven't been subjected to much abuse over the years and overall look great. The dash lacks any cracking or bubbling and the view of the road ahead is clear and commanding. The factory owner's manuals are included in the glove box and add to the originality of this Land Cruiser. Privacy tint helps keep the temperatures down and also protects the interior pieces against sun fading. The electric windows and locks work properly, but we wanted to note that the mirror folding feature is inoperable. The rear seats split 60/40 to give you more cargo room for long road trips and luggage space.

This body on frame 80 series is powered by the 1HD-T diesel engine mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. It's fresh off an oil and filter service so the new owner needn't schedule any maintenance for the next 3,000 miles. Two brand new 12V batteries were installed on this 4.2L I-6 and she fires up quickly with the turn of the key. The neat thing about these 1HD-T powerplants is that they idle nearly without vibration thanks to their inherently balanced layout. The low-end grunt is prodigious, and this monster can accelerate to highway speeds without breaking a sweat. An M's intake adds a few ponies and accentuates the turbo flutter even more. Gearshifts are seamless and power is bed through a selective transfer case to a full-time 4WD system. While you'll likely never use it, there are a few tricks down this Land Cruisers figurative sleeve when the going gets tough. This 4X4 features a low gearset and center locking differential just and would be happy to pull your friend's Jeep out of a sticky situation if called upon. The stock suspension was beefed up with Ranchero shocks and springs, which add a few inches to your overall ground clearance. An Old Man EMU steering stabilizer was also added when the previous owner added the lift. The power steering is light and easy to articulate and the brakes can handle slowing this heavyweight down without a sweat. The 16" 5-spoke alloy wheels are wrapped in brand new 33" Falken all-terrain tires that deliver plenty of grip whether the vehicle is on or off-road. We even changed out the tailgate-mounted spare for a matching full-size Falken tire!

If you want a capable rig that's is known for ease of ownership this is the one. It's a sure-fire Japanese Classic that is highly collectible and a blast to drive. You won't want to miss out!
