The Windom has been a stateside staple for the better part of three decades under the more recognizable Lexus ES300 moniker and this 1992 is as fresh of an example as any! Sporting a stout 3.0 V6 under the bonnet and boasting an impressive 31k verified and documented miles on the clock, this Windom would make for a phenomenal daily driver, or pampered weekend cruiser. Finished in Emerald Green (6M1) and set off by two-tone cladding, OEM rainguards, and projection headlamps, the factory fresh aesthetics do a lot to increase this Windom's appeal, showing only a few light defects from day to day use. Fresh off a comprehensive service in-house, this saloon is turn key, ready to rock, and the exact definition of what a Japanese Classic saloon should be!

The interior is finished in a plush and durable cloth, which should come as a welcome surprise considering all the butchered leather examples we see on the used car market stateside. The powered front buckets slide fore and aft with haste and the driver also gains access to a tilt adjustable steering column to dial in an ideal driving position. Premium in fit and finish yet simple in design, the switchgear is easy to navigate too, with digital automatic climate control spitting out cold A/C and hot heat at a moments notice. Sadly the adjacent audio system is missing, but keen enthusiasts know the factory unit won't hit most US FM frequencies and would warrant a replacement anyways. All power windows work as advertised, as do the power locks and "sonic" side view mirrors. Auto airpuri keeps the cabin smelling fresh as a daisy, and as a whole we're really impressed with how the previous owner kept this one up. The dash is free of unwanted distortion as are the door cards, and the headliner and carpets are tidy too. We even have the original owner's manuals and maintenance booklets on hand, and the OEM carpet mats to preserve the history of this classic daily machine!

The 3.0 6-cylinder was a readily available option here in our stateside 'yotas and is a solid companion for this four door sedan. We've took care of a comprehensive check-in and service, and this 3VZ-FE springs to life care of a new 12v battery. Typically a costly and perplexing job, we had the ECU professionally rebuilt with OE quality components, and we have a lifetime warranty on the service ready to transfer to the next lucky owner. We also knocked out an oil and filter service to keep this 3.0 on track for scheduled maintenance. With the work performed, this one shoots up to highway speeds and cruises on the interstate with ease, with the power going right to the front wheels. An automatic gearbox commands the gear changes and feels healthy, and the power assisted steering is nicely weighted too. As you'd expect from a Lexus platform, the suspension is comfortable and gobbles up potholes, and the brakes do a swell job at slowing this sedan to a halt if need be. Fresh all-season rubber was mounted and balanced here to maximize grip for the future as well. Frugal, reliable, and easy to own and maintain, this Windom is a real creampuff!
