1992 Toyota Land Cruiser
When it comes to Japanese SUV's it doesn't get more iconic than the Toyota Land Cruiser. Toyota's ability to mix luxury, with rugged and reliable off road ability, have made the Land Cruiser a legend. There's no denying the turbo diesel power train is the most desirable and bullet proof option available in these 80 series Land Cruisers. This 1992 example checks all the boxes: low miles, exceptionally clean, turbo diesel, electronically locking front, center, and rear differentials, factory winch, and of course killer looks. The exterior is finished in Toyota Darkish Blue Grey (183), and is in phenomenal condition. It's clear the previous owner was an enthusiast and really pampered this Cruiser. The body is very straight and shows no majors dings, dents, or damage. The OEM fender flares have been replaced by slightly larger pieces, and look and fit good enough to pass as OEM. Behind the front bumper is a factory installed winch which you likely won't need to use much, unless you are pulling a friend out, who got stuck in a lesser vehicle. The factory optional aluminum running boards are also in great condition. The factory sunroof is functional and includes the OEM rain visors on all 4 windows and the sunroof. A massive set of Center Lock wheels and 33" BF-Goodrich tires combined with a 3" SkyJacker lift further improve the off road abilities, and truly set this Cruiser apart in a crowd of otherwise boring SUVs on the road. Out back is the factory spare in beautiful condition and a brand new 33" spare tire to match the others. When it comes to 80 series Land Cruiser's it doesn't get much better and this!
The interior is in equally nice condition as the exterior and what you would expect from a vehicle with just 62k original miles. The seats are trimmed in OEM Alcantara which is but luxurious and sporty. This material gives off a high end suede-like finish but also provides plenty of grip on the trails, and its very durable; truly the best of both worlds. The dash is in excellent condition and shows no major sun damage that the 80 series Land Cruisers are so prone to. The door panels show very minimal wear, and the factory radio/cd player and speakers are still present. Factory installed additional gauges by the sunroof controls include a Compass and Altimeter so you can always find your way back home. The seats are in great condition and have very little wear. The driver seats has a small hole in the fabric, and the passenger and rear seats are in beautiful condition. The carpets are also excellent, and show no major staining or rips. In the back you'll find plenty of cargo space for camping gear, or a run to the grocery store. The 30/70 split tail gate even provides an excellent bench for tailgating, and shade from the sun. You wont want to leave the interior of this Cruiser!
Mechanically is where this particular HDJ81 really shines! Factory equipped with triple (electronically) locking differentials and a straight six 1HD-T Turbo diesel engine this Land Cruiser is begging for some off road action. The engine starts up quickly and idles well, the turbo assists in getting the vehicle up to speeds on the highway and provides plenty of torque for any off road situation. All of the differential locks are working properly, along with both high and low 4WD functions. The automatic climate control works well and the A/C blows cold. This Land Cruiser has been excellently maintained by the previous owner and our trained technicians have thoroughly inspected it mechanically. It needs nothing but some off road fun, and is ready, not to mention capable, to take you anywhere!
