The Toyota Aristo is one of the best-kept secrets to come out of Japan in the '90s. At the time the twin-turbo model like our example was one of the fastest production sedans in the world and produced a conservatively rated 280hp from the now famed 2JZ-GTE. Driving a fast sedan has commonly been described by some as similar to driving a fast couch. While that might be true from makers like Mercedes, we think the Aristo is actually quite sporty to drive especially considering it shares a large majority of its chassis and suspension with the JZA80 Supra. This 1992 3.0V example also has the added benefit of Zeal coilovers which improves the handling even more and all but eliminates body roll from the comfortable sedan. The exterior of this sedan has some excellent styling upgrades over the years, which set it apart from a stock version. Originally this Aristo left the factory in Silver however, it was fully resprayed while in Japan in Toyota Black (202), including all of the door and trunk jambs. The paint was done well and shows very few imperfections minus a few dings and scratches associated with normal use. The factory turbo bumper has been further enhanced with a huge Greddy intercooler, and the center grill section has been properly removed to show off the new hardware. A set of 18" Work Ryver wheels add a touch of class to the sporty sedan and look fantastic against the black exterior. Although the miles are unverified/unknown miles. Overall a very tastefully modified Aristo!

Inside the cabin, youll have plenty of room to relax and this four-door has some impressive power amenities. The seats and door panels are trimmed in leather, while a Defi gauge suite looks right at home in the center stack and A-pillar. The seats are well above average condition both the driver and passenger front seats show little wear to the bolsters and some light cracking from age, however are both still soft to the touch. The rear seat is in excellent condition and looks to be rarely used. The driver door panel has a few small cuts in it which are visible in the photos but otherwise in nice condition along with the other 3 door panels. LED lighting has been added throughout the cabin and updates this classic sedan with nice clean light. The center stock includes 3 Defi gauges all of which function properly and below that is the digital climate control which functions as it should pumping out cold A/C for the summer and hot heat for the winter. Aftermarket audio has been added throughout including the door speakers and headunit which all function properly and the headunit has a flip-out 7" screen to boot. The trim has been hydro dipped in a carbon fiber effect and was very well done and looks excellent further adding to the sporty feel of the car along with the Personal steering wheel which feels great. The power windows all function properly, along with the power door locks. The power mirrors work correctly but the folding feature of the driver's side is no longer operational. The driver seat back adjusts properly, however, the slide function is no longer functional which is a common Aristo problem. This Aristo is equipped with a power retracting moonroof and it both slides and tilts properly. Overall an excellent condition interior that is both unique and luxurious.

Under the hood you'll find Toyota's famous 2JZ-GTE. The twin-turbo 3.0L straight-six is also found in Toyota's flagship sports car the JZA80 Supra. The engine starts right up and settles into a silky smooth idle. An HKS stainless catback exhaust system gives the comfy sedan a perfect growl, letting you know it's no slouch while not being obnoxious. A Blitz intake sends air to the turbos quickly, and the Greddy intercooler adds a few more HP while looking great behind the bumper. Off throttle, a Blitz BOV releases any unspent charge air with its signature sound. Shifts are performed through an automatic gearbox, as a proper luxury sedan should be, and are smooth without any issues. The Zeal coilovers get the ride height down a bit while adding better performance through the twisties. This car has been excellently maintained in Japan but for good measure, we performed an oil and filter service, installed 4 brand new tires, and a brand new battery. This Aristo is as cool as it is unique with the perfect blend of both performance and luxury. One drive and you'll be a believer!
