Resembling iconic sports cars from decades past, and resto-modified to honor their legacy, this Eunos boasts a choice selection of both performance and aesthetic upgrades.

Exterior Overview

To the Mazda enthusiast, little explanation is needed, but in our eyes nothing embodies the classic roadster experience quite like the MX-5 NA. This Japanese market Eunos Roadster follows a foolproof formula. It’s lightweight, rear-drive, fun, and easy to own and maintain, but far from how it left the factory, as it’s been fully recrafted with a Pitcrew aero kit along with molded fender flares, Garage Vary Tail lights and recent British Racing Green (HU) paint, which is the original color on this NA. It also sports a scant 62k verified miles, which is worth its weight in gold to any prospective purchaser. Resembling iconic sports cars from decades past, and resto-modified to honor their legacy, this Eunos boasts a choice selection of both performance and aesthetic upgrades. An optional factory hardtop polishes off the bodylines and adds a fair amount of functionality. An FRP Garage Vary hood ties in nicely with the Trap front lip, and a Pitcrew single wiper conversion attracts a ton of attention from eagle eyed enthusiasts. Runabout M2 retro chrome side mirrors, a Zoom reverse light plus side markers and a Zoom retro fuel lid round out the extensive list of exterior upgrades. To protect the beautiful paintwork PPF has been applied to the full front end to include the front bumper, hood, front fenders, and front doors. Additionally, PPF has been applied to the partial rear fenders, rear bumper and side sills. This compact coupe assumes a flush fitment, with 14″ SSR MkII alloys and Fortune Auto Dreadnought PRO 1-WAY coilovers ensuring it’s as fun to drive as it is to look at. Functional, fun, and sure to stand out at your local Cars & Coffee, this Japanese Classic is undeniably unique, and chock full of rare parts! Interior Overview

A perfect complement to the exterior aesthetic, the tan on green interior is in excellent shape for the age, and boasts a full slate of power amenities and stylish upgrades. The tan leather cow hides show well for being over 30 years young, and the classy aesthetic is further set off by custom Maruha green carpet, and a matching Nardi woodgrain steering wheel and shift knob. Keeping with the restomod spirit, A Jass gauge overlay, switches, and vents zhuzh up the interior, and Heuer vintage chronographs and a Pitcrew rearview mirror pay homage to a simpler time in car racing. Adding an air of modernity to the otherwise classic silhouette, both power windows are fully functional. The Runabout mirrors are manually adjustable, and give plenty of visibility out the sides. The cabin can also be dialed in for comfort, with fully functioning A/C and heat. There’s a lot to love about this MX-5’s interior, but that’s not to say it’s perfect. The seats show some light bolster wear, and the OEM audio was removed to enhance the aesthetic. Other than that, we think the cabin far exceeds expectations, and some custom carpeted floor liners are included with the purchase to help protect it! Mechanical Overview

Under the bonnet, Mazda’s 1.6l “B6” I4 has a reputation that precedes itself, and for good reason. It’s reliable, trivially easy to maintain, and has enough power to get out of its own way. Ours is fresh off an oil and filter service, and packs a few performance upgrades to enhance both the physical and auditory response. A DDM works intake feeds the four banger, and a Mazdaspeed exhaust manifold is mated to a center exit 5Zigen fireball exhaust. Power is fed to a 5 speed manual gearbox which throws power rearward. Shifts are smooth, and we replaced both axle seals at the upgraded 1.8l rear differential to keep your lubricant internal. The Fortune Auto dreadnought suspension is top-tier and aids handling significantly. The chassis is also beefed up with Cusco bracing and a Mazdaspeed strut tower brace to boot. The SSR’s are wrapped in beefy Falken rubber. Optimized for performance, they not only look good, but do a dang good job of gripping the pavement, whether you’re headed to a car show, or to your favorite backroad proving ground! Here are the details on the suspension:

Wheels / Suspension / Brakes
  • SSR MK2 wheels 14×7 +12 square
  • Falken RT615 195/60R14
  • Fortune Auto Dreadnought PRO 1-WAY coilovers (long stroke)
  • Swift Main Springs
  • Swift Helper Springs
  • Superpro Full Polyurethane bushing kit
  • Stoptech Stainless steel brake lines
  • Carbotech XP10 Race pads
  • Motul RBF 660 brake fluid
  • Centric Brake Rotors
  • 1.8L Differential Upgrade
